We are in Brandeglio is a Medieval hill-top village in the Val di Lima, part of the famous Garfagnana region. Located midway between the Italian Riviera beaches and the Tuscan skiing mountains, this less well known part of Tuscany displays more of the original Tuscany from long before tourists invaded. The valleys are deep and dramatic, the hills are steep with breathtaking views and the dense forests have deer, wild boar and porcupines. The Italian people are warm and welcoming and the Tuscan food and wine legendary. Brandeglio is a typical hilltop village with spectacular views of the surrounding hills, villages and mountains, but only 15 minutes from the spa town of Bagni di Lucca. The village has been awarded "Centro Storico" conservation area status, so no new building here!

Rental notes: 60 Euros per night double/twin room, incl 2 breakfasts. 45 Euros per night single occupancy with breakfast. Weekly rates are 390 Euros double and 290 Euros single. Registered with Turismo di Lucca, fully legal and insured. VAT registered

We offer two spacious double / twin bedrooms, each comfortably furnished with a double or twin beds and complete with en-suite bathrooms with showers, luxury towels and hair dryers. Both rooms have full British satellite TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and quality bedlinen. Guests can also use the sitting room. Two extra fold-up beds available, cot and high chair. The house appears much as it did in centuries past, both inside and out, apart from the requirements of modern living, such as central heating and double-glazing. Recent additions have provided en-suite bathrooms, a central wood-burning fireplace and a wood stove which make the house warm and cosy for those winter breaks!

Outside Area:Traditional green shutters keep the hot sun out and let the breeze in, keeping the rooms cool and comfortable when the summer heat is on. As the house has never been re-built or restored, most of the features, such as beams, floors and doors are original. Outside, the sunny terrace and level garden provide space to sunbathe in the day watching the eagles soar above, and to chill out in the evening with a glass of wine. Ample locked storage space for bikes, motorbikes, skis and sports equipment, and for drying wet sports clothes.
