There are two main airports for flights to Tuscany: Peretola Airport (FLR) in Florence and Pisa International Airport Galileo Galilei (PSA), located 1.5km from Pisa city centre. Florence is the main gateway to Tuscany. There are flights from Amsterdam, Barcelona, London-Gatwick, Madrid, Paris, Lyon, Vienna, Tirana, Brussels, Copenhagen, Geneva, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich.

Tuscany has very mild winters with occasional snow and very hot summers. Spring has some rain but temperatures of 20C and 6 hours of sunshine. June to September is hot and is ideal for sightseeing and al fresco dining. Late September and October has blue skies and sun, temperatures still over 20C. Winter in Tuscany still sees plenty of sunshine; but can be cold with some snow in the mountains.
