Quinta Alfazema (Lavender Farm) is Bed & Breakfast or Self Catering Accommodation, set in the quiet village of Pereiro de Baixo , surrounded by forest and only a short distance from Vila Nova de Poiares is a restored farmhouse called Quinta Alfazema. Owned by Pete & Jo Hyde (British ) this is a venture enabling self catering and/or bed & breakfast in the adjoining air conditioned apartment . Pete & Jo have over 38 years experience in the Hospitality trade and will ensure your stay is as pleasurable and comfortable as possible. The full use of the private swimmimg pool is available to guests. A short walk from the property is a small local bar which will serve you excellent local beer and of course the local wine.

We are forty minutes from the Beach ( Figueira da Foz ) but we have many river beaches close by , these are very child orientated and have very good facilities. Conímbriga is one of the largest Roman settlements in Portugal, and is classified as a National Monument. Conímbriga lies 16 km from Coimbra and less than 2 km from Condeixa-a-Nova. The site also has a museum that displays objects found by archaeologists during their excavations, including coins and cirurgical tools. No tour of Northern Portugal is complete without a visit to Buçaco, a mountain forest located just northeast of Coimbra on the way to Viseu. Buçaco is a delightful refuge of cypress groves, ferns, statues, fountains, and formal gardens. It's also home to the Palace Hotel do Buçaco, which may be Europe's best value in a grand hotel.

Rental notes: Price is given for self catering holiday per couple per night. Bed & Breakfast - 45 euros per couple per night. An additional charge of 10 euros will be made for a single nights stay. Additional days/people will be charged accordingly.

The apartment comprises of a double en suite bedroom, a small kitchen with eating area and a lounge with armchairs, all air conditioned. A travel cot is available. Additional twin bedded en-suite accommodation could be made available if required. The apartment includes full kitchen facilities, hairdryer, English satellite television and dvd/video player. Pool towels are provided.
