The weather in Formentera is hot summers and mild winters. In summer, the climate is hot and dry with an average of 25C, perfect for beach holidays with a lot of sunbathing and water sports. Winter the temperatures average of 11 to 13C, both the spring and autumn seasons are a delightful time to visit, and the island still sees over 300 days of sunshine per year. The island has a most rain during winter months.
Getting to Formentera
Formentera does not have an airport. However the neighbouring island of Ibiza does. Take a taxi from the airport to the port (Puerto Formentera) about 10 minute trip. Then catch one of the many ferries which departs every 2 hours from Ibiza arriving only 30 minutes later in Formentera Island.
