Minorca is only 15km wide and about 52km long, but it boosts some of the best beaches in the Balearic Islands. The weather in Menorca is hot summers and mild winters. In summer, the climate is hot and dry with an average of 25C, perfect for beach holidays with a lot of sunbathing and water sports. Winter the temperatures average of 11 to 13C, both the spring and autumn seasons are a delightful time to visit, and the island still sees over 300 days of sunshine per year. The island has a most rain during winter months.

Minorca Airport (MAH) Airport is in the south-east of the island, about 5km (3 miles) from Mahon. It has Regular scheduled services are available. Many offer flights on a seasonal basis (usually April - October). Monarch, Easyjet and British Airways fly here and other airlines fly from Brussels, Amsterdam, Venice, Milan, Turin, Verona and a few other UK cities.
