Tenerife has good weather all year. It has sunny weather with average temperatures of 17C in the winter, to 27C in summer. Rainfall is low through the year, with infrequent showers that keep the island lush, and inland areas have cooling northeast trade winds. During summer there is 12 hours of sun per day; and over 300 days of annual sunshine. Winter months the Island are pleasantly warm.

There are two airports that provide for the Island: Tenerife South Reina Sofia (TFS) near Los Cristianos, and Tenerife North Los Rodeos airport (TFN) by La Laguna. Tenerife South is the larger of the two, but both airports receive a many flights from all over Europe. Low-cost airlines flying there include Easyjet and Ryanair.

Tenerife is one of the popular holiday destinations within Spain, visiting its spectacular beaches and lively nightlife. It offers fertile forests, exotic fauna and flora, volcano’s, deserts, mountains, extremely beautiful coastlines and impressive beaches. The temperature remains fairly steady throughout the year; during the off-peak season you can still enjoy the warm seas and find yourself a good spot on the less-crowded beaches. Tenerife offers the unique experience of swimming and sunbathing on a beautiful beach while just a few miles away snow glistens on the peak of Mount Teide. Puerto de la Cruz is the oldest resort on Tenerife, and offers a quaint town centre with a charming old quarter, and some fabulous attractions as well as a Blue Flag beach.
