Holiday weather in Hungary
Hungary has a continental climate, throughout the year there’s a large temperature range across Hungary -14C to 36C, winters can get very cold and summers boiling hot, and there is plenty of rain all year round. In summer (April to September) Budapest has a large share of sunny, warm days with somewhat high humidity, the sun shines for about 10 hours a day; this is the best time to visit Hungary.
Airport information
The country's chief international airport is Budapest Ferihegy Airport (BUD). This is the base for MALEV Hungarian Airlines who fly to many parts of Europe. There are also several low cost carriers operating to Budapest: Ryanair, Wizzair, Easyjet, Germanwings. The other two international airports are Airport Debrecen in Debrecen and Balaton Airport close to the city of Keszthely.
