Holiday weather in Norway
Although located far in the north, Oslo's climate is fairly moderate because warm air comes across from the Atlantic gulf stream. Summers in Norway are quite pleasant and last from June to August, with quite warm weather, though areas near to the coast are notably cooler. Winters last from December to March, and make Norway a top skiing location. Temperatures in the north can drop below -40C.

Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) is the largest airport in Norway and main international hub, it is actually 55 km north of Oslo. SAS Scandinavian Airlines Norge has its base at Oslo, and is the main carrier. The airport has flights to about 100 destinations, and departs to most European countries. Bergen Airport, Flesland (BGO) and Stavanger Airport, Sola (SVG) are also international airports
