Holiday weather in Switzerland
Switzerland enjoys year-round sunshine; the south has an almost Mediterranean climate with Zurich and Geneva averaging 25C in summer. The ski season runs from early December to late April. Most of the country dips below freezing in winter, even colder in the ski resorts. Temperatures are below zero from December to March there can be huge amounts of snow, up to 4 or 5 meters a year.

Switzerland’s Geneva International Airport receives airlines from many world destinations and it is the country’s main airport.
Zurich International Airport is largely serviced by international airlines. Basel International Airport is located on French territory and is a union airport between the Swiss, French and the Germans. There are other smaller airports in Lugano and Berne.
