Maryland weather
Maryland the weather is generally not that extreme. In spring and the fall the weather is changeable, with warm temperatures 10-25C. Summers are quite warm, with temperatures 29C. July-August is hot but sea breezes help keep coastal areas more comfortable, and cooler night temperatures. The mountains in the west of Maryland are generally cooler. Maryland does get snow most winters with about 2.5-178 cm. A few attractions close during the winter months, but nearly all are open during the spring, summer and fall seasons.
Getting there
Many international and domestic flights arrive into the state's main airport, Baltimore-Washington International (BWI). Many major airlines operate from BWI including British Airways to London.
