Weather in Pennsylvania
The weather can be changeable, with moderate amounts of rain throughout the year. Summers are warm with occasional heat waves. Winters can be cold with periods of snowfall, especially in the western part of the state. Autumns are usually moderate and pleasant. The area around Lake Erie usually experiences cooler temperatures. July tends to be the state's warmest month.
Geting there
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) which is a major hub for US Airways and is one of the Northeast's major international termini, with flights to an array of European destinations. Pittsburgh International (PIT) is the second largest in Pennsylvania, but both airports are served by all major carriers and have low fare service by Southwest and AirTran Airways.
