Aquitaine has four international airports: Bordeaux-Merignac (BOD) is the most important airport in Aquitaine it has flights from Flybe, bmibaby, Easyjet and British Airways. Pau Pyrenees Airport (PUF) is served by budget airlines Ryanair and Transavia. Bergerac-Roumaniere Airport (EGC) is served b Flybe and Ryanair. Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne airport (BIQ), near Biarritz has Air France, Easyjet.

Aquitaine is known for its agreeable climate all through the year, and has wonderful summer months. The western side has the Atlantic Ocean and provides warmth from the Gulf Stream. . Winter see the average temp at 14C, spring and fall average temp 22C and summer average at 27C. The summer can linger into September and October and the morning sun still has enough power to warm the days.
