Le Palmier is a large 4 bedroom detached farmhouse, offering luxury accommodation including air conditioned bedrooms & a huge 12 x 6 meter heated swimming pool specifically designed and built with children's enjoyment in mind, it has a safety fence & lockable entrance gates. Le Palmier is just a 2 minute stroll to a lively village offering cafes/bars & restaurants and only an 8 minute drive to wonderful 'Blue Flag' sandy beaches - ideal for the kids. In the large sitting room you'll find a projector home cinema displayed on a huge motorised screen with the full sky packages including: movies, children’s & sports. Plus 24hr internet access, an iPod docking station & a Wii console with interactive family games to enjoy on the big screen! We specifically cater for families with children - We have an extensive library of books, lots of children's board games and toys from dressing up clothes to train sets, building blocks, dolls house & a huge library of children’s videos & DVD's (over 100!) For families travelling with young babies, we also supply within the price - a sterilizer, bottle warmer, food blender, a travel cot, (& 100% cotton bed linen) changing mat, baby bath, high chair, push chair & children's crockery & cutlery. Only approximately, 1 hour from La Rochelle & Nantes & a 3-hour drive from St Malo, Le Palmier makes for the perfect getaway for those wanting a quick, easy trip to sandy beaches and sunshine.

Le Palmier is only a 2 minute stroll from the centre of Angles, which has a large street market on both Wednesday and Sunday mornings in the summer months - an excellent opportunity to sample much of the locally produced food, including cheese, meat, fish and wine. During July and August, Angles organises special events in the square including fun days, evening entertainers, jazz and blues nights, firework displays and night markets. You can sit with the locals and enjoy 'moules & frites' listening to a band watching the kids dance to their hearts content. Located so close to the village, you can either take a leisurely walk down in the morning to pick up your fresh baguette and croissants, or stroll down in the evenings to a choice of great restaurants. You don’t have to load all the kids in the car (plus all of the equipment that comes with having a family) to have a great meal. The village has a great choice of five cafés/bars and four restaurants to choose from.

Rental notes: Prices are based on up to 4 adults and 5 children sharing the property. Prices are advertised in GBP, however, payments are taken in Euros. Credit Card payments are accepted, however a 2% surcharge applies with this method of payment. Alternatively payments can be made by international bank transfer. The security deposit of 500 Euros per week is due at the time of booking. Luxury 100% cotton bed linen is supplied within the price, as well as bath towels and bathroom hand towels. We also offer large 100% cotton beach towels for hire (saves that bit of extra room in the car on the way home for the great bottles of wine!) Winter lets are welcome from Mid October through to Mid April each year at a price of 1000euros per month and are based on one family sharing. Bedding, electric, gas, water, personal taxes, sky packages or any fuel is not included within the price and is the responsibility of the tenant to pay. Le Palmier has 4 bedrooms - 2 masters, 1 triple bedroom & 1 bunk room - The vast master bedroom (35m2) has a 4 poster wrought-iron king size bed with an en-suite Jacuzzi bathroom. The second master also has a 4 poster wooden double bed with a door leading out to the gardens and pool area. All double beds have luxurious mattress toppers for maximum comfort. The large triple bedroom has three single beds in it and is able to convert to a good size double if required for more than 4 adults sharing. The bunk bedroom has an en suite shower room, with hand basin and WC. A family bathroom with a separate shower & 3rd WC is also in the property. The very well equipped kitchen has double patio doors which open onto a south-west facing eating terrace. It has a 5 burner range cooker (always easier when cooking for larger numbers) a dishwasher & microwave, washing machine, 2 x fridge/freezers & ironing facilities. You will also find kitchen essentials like washing up liquid, dish clothes, bin bags, kitchen foil, cling film, kitchen towels & salt & pepper grinders at your disposal. A few less items to pack & always appreciated.

Outside Area:The 12 x 6 meter swimming pool is surrounded by 180m2 of decking with lots of sunloungers. The pool has a large terrace & an additional raised decked area, which is shaded by a large walnut tree. Here there are café-style tables & chairs, a great place for the kids to play out of the sun. Please note - the pool is shared with our other two properties Le Pressoir and La Pergola. The shade of the wrought iron gazebo on your terrace area gives a welcome break from the midday sun, it is also the perfect spot to relax & enjoy the views of the pool & the beautiful gardens, as lunch is served!
