At one time a Tuscan wine estate, Al Foionco has now been restored to create 8 comfortable holiday apartments for rent. The estate is particularly suited to families with children. Holiday complex in Tuscany has a large saltwater swimming pool, a barbeque and a large country garden. And the beaches of Viareggio and the Versilian Riviera are within easy driving distance. Situated in a quiet woody area, six kilometres from the beautiful medieval town of Lucca, the lodging enjoys countryside privacy and close proximity to the attractions and amenities of Lucca. There are good motorways and rail links with the rest of Tuscany and taking the train you can be in the heart of Florence in about an hour. Everyone will feel at home, because the location offers you a warm welcome in a casual atmosphere with all the assets Tuscany has to offer. Your hosting couple Marco and Alma will be happy to help you find your way to the numerous Tuscan delights. You are gladly invited to pick fresh herbs and fruits - if available- in the Al Foionco vegetable garden , "the orto". Once a week you are invited to a happy hour at the pool side. On request regional wine- and oil tasting can be arranged.

The Medieval city of Lucca has kept its historical atmosphere between the famous city walls. Enjoy a drink on the Piazza Anfiteatro, climb the famous Guinigi tower, hire a bike to discover the town, visit the museums and stroll over the local market that is held twice a week. In the surroundings beautiful villa's with breath taken parks open their gates to the public. Rental notes: Rental prices range from Euro 450 euro to 1050 euro per week depending on the season and size of apartment you select.

Our apartments are very comfortably furnished to accommodate 2 to 6 persons and vary in size from 75 to 135 square metres. Some apartments have private terraces for outdoor living and enjoy the captivating views of the beautiful Tuscan hills. All apartments have central heating and some even have wonderful Tuscan fireplaces. The kitchens have dishwashers and cookers and there is a communal laundry.
