Sjohagløo has a unique atmosphere due to the re-use of the old grid and stave construction, which can be seen in the living room. We started out with old barn construction from the 1930’s in the summer of 2000 and the first guests moved in two years later. By opening the terrace door in the living room can you enter the front terrace which overlooks the fjord. Sheep are grazing here in spring, and they are usually ready for a chat at any time, whilst you enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the fjord and the surrounding mountains.

Sjohageløo as this holiday home is called is situated in an orchard right on the banks of the Osafjord in Hardanger. You find this unspoiled spot on earth, by taking the old country road down towards the Inn in Øydvinstod. The house is peacefully situated among old boathouses from times gone by,just a few yards from the fjord. Sjohageløo is also the ultimate starting point for walks and hikes in Ulvik and the surrounding areas. Bergen is only 2, 5 hours away by car. Flåm can be reached within 2 hours and Eidfjord within one. Or if car walking or driving is not you do then just enjoy life by sitting on the terrace.

Outside Area:Down by the fjord, appr. 30 m from Sjohageløo is there special built washbasin for your catch, and a 14 feet boat wiht an 15PS outboard engine is included in the rent.
