Corfu self catering cottages in Sgombou - Casa Lucia cottages in Greek Islands

Since 1981 Casa Lucia has been a meeting point for holiday makers, workshop holidays and the local community. Its unique atmosphere, its tranquillity and liberal attitude appeal to all ages, all nationalities, to families, individuals and groups. Many friendships have been forged here, people come back year after year, children have grown up and return with their children. Our cottages can house up to 25 people, there is some space for camping and for bigger groups there is additional accommodation for up to 20 people just a few minutes walk up the hill. This is an old renovated Corfiot mansion on a beautiful piece of land overlooking the sea. The Gardener's Cottage is stone-built and set a small distance away from the other buildings. It is light and airy - and especially popular with families who enjoy the extra space in the terrace and garden area.

Sgombou is a small village in the centre of the island,a good setting-off point to explore all Corfu: it has a wonderful village shop,stocking fresh bread from the best baker, and everything from fruit to carpets - you can catch up on local news too. Here is the bus-stop with frequent services to the Northwest and into Corfu town. Sgombou also boasts the best ceramic shop, sausage and ham factory, and a souvlajidiko (kebab house). A quiet place in other words.

Rental notes: The balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival date. The prices are quoted for rental the Gardener's Cottage and Red. Price for winter months (November to April) is 200 euro/week. Email us to get prices for other cottages rental.

Gardener's cottage: Double-bedded room, bathroom, living room with 2 sofa beds, dining area, kitchen, patio and garden. 2-4 people. Stone: Lower floor of 2-storeyed building, double-bedded room with bathroom, large kitchen/dining area, living room with 2 divan beds, room for 3rd, two terraces, large garden. 4-5 people. White: Secluded upper floor; open-plan double-bedded room, living/dining/kitchen area with 2 divan beds, bathroom, balcony. 2-4 people. Red: Double-bedded room, bathroom, living room with 2 divan beds, dining area, kitchen, 2 patios, garden. 2-4 people. Yellow: Mezzanine bedroom with twin beds, open plan ground floor with double bed in curtained alcove, living area with sofa bed, bathroom, kitchen, dining area, patio and garden. 4-5 people. Pink Studios 1+2: Twin-bedded room with kitchenette and dining area, bathroom, patio and garden. 1-2 people.

Outside Area:When required there is a communal kitchen and eating area, and a cook available by arrangement. There are many outdoor spaces including two large lawns and of course the swimming pool for water exercise.
