Normandy holiday farmhouse and lakes - Mortain country farmhouse rental

On a small lane leading to the Mortainais forest, the house stands in 3 acres of gardens and farmland. It is located 4 kms from a village with all local amenities. PLUNGE POOL, WI-FI broadband internet, sky sat, air con, are all provided at the house. EXCLUSIVE use of our PRIVATE LAKES (one trout and one carp, approx 20 min drive), fishing can be arranged, SHOOTING INSTRUCTION (.22 bullet) can be arranged, equipment can be provided. Satnav (europe) available. BABY SITTING available as owners are c.r.o. checked by both u.k. and french police. HONEY, from our hives, EGGS from our hens, and HOME MADE JAMS ( PUSH BIKES can be arranged on site). FOR LARGER PARTIES there's also a self contained apartment which can be opened up to give more bedrooms and shower room with toilet and sink. (contact owner for details). The apartment is not in use when house is rented and will only be RENTED IN ADDITION to the main house lots of secure parking is available.

Mont St Michel is aprox 1 hrs drive away. Paris is 2 hrs aprox by train from our local train station. Granville and our local seaside is aprox 1hr 15 mins. The landing beaches and the bayeux tapestry are also aprox 1 hr 15 mins away. Theres fantastic CYCLE PATHS which are really flat and travel through our delightful countryside for many kilometres. Lots and lots of lakes for fishing [including our 2 trout and carp lakes]. The whole area is steeped in history and our home is central to it all. The PILGRIMS used the trail along the edge of our land when walking to Mont St Michel and the trail is still used by todays pilgrims. They often ask us for water and have asked in the past if they can sleep in our barn. Each of our local villages has a separate market day and on tuesdays there’s a cattle market too in Sourdeval. The castle at Fougeres is a must to see. The GO CART TRACK is 15 mins away, the VELORAIL is 30 mins away. Theres something for everyone within easy reach.
