El Conuco Hillside Chalet is a cottage guesthouse nestled in the mountains between the towns of Caguas and Cidra. It is situated in a lush tropical paradise, with a view of the hills and valley, in a secure and tranquil environment with remote control access. Our guesthouse is available for short or long-term rental. It is perfect for both the leisure and business traveler. El Conuco is the Taino Indian word for their hut and the surrounding farming area.

Our Guesthouse is conveniently located off Route 172 in a gated community nestled in the mountains between the towns of Caguas and Cidra. Neighborhood grocery stores, bakeries and pizza parlors are within a 10 minute drive. Local shopping, including mall, supermarket, and restaurants, is within a 20 minute drive. The Chalet is 22 miles from San Juan and 10 minutes from a major expressway. It is a 58 mile drive to Ponce, an hour drive to golf ranges and 26 miles to Palmas del Mar in Humacao.

Rental notes: Prices are quoted for up to 4 guests. 15USD/night for each additional adult. Discounts are available for extended stays of 2 or more weeks. Children under age 6 are free.

The Chalet has ceiling fans throughout and large doors that open onto lush greenery and tropical breezes. All windows have screens. Books, magazines, telescope, table games and hammocks are available. The kitchen is fully equipped. The living room is furnished with sofa, loveseat and ceiling fans. There is plenty of seating around the large dining room table. There is a bar area for your convenience. There is an office area equipped with a large desk. You will find plenty of brochures with information on historic sites, beaches, and other activities. There are three bedrooms with the following: One king bed, one full bed, and two twin beds. That's room for 5 adults. There are showers in both bathrooms, one bathroom has a bidet, and there is one blow dryer.

Outside Area:A few feet away from the chalet you have access to a beautiful deck for sun bathing, bird watching, playing dominoes, star gazing, or just plain relaxing. Please note that the Chalet and deck area are not "child proofed".
