The backyard and terraces overlook fields and green hills. A blend of Renaissance aura and present day comfort in a Villa where luxury stimulates relaxation: peace and nature reign outdoors while inside one can enjoy tasteful Italian styling and the art of hospitality. A Medici residence restored to its former beauty, the villa is located in the beautiful Chianti medieval hamlet and is surrounded by olive trees, wineries and numerous ancient art locations. The villa is only a 30 minute drive from Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and 1 hour from Lucca, Pisa and the coast. The villa has several 18-hole golf courses nearby : within 30 minutes to one hour’s drive you can reach all of them.

Our VILLA is an ideal location for your holiday in Tuscany and for visiting famous art cities such as Florence, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa as well as the nearby country villages of the famous Chianti Classico region: San Donato in Poggio, Castellina, Greve, Barberino Val d’Elsa, Radda, Gaiole, San Casciano. The Villa , restored respecting the original Tuscan Style, are surrounded by splendid private gardens, olive groves, vineyards, roses and woods. Our villa is normally rented by those tourists( families or a few couples of friends) who wants to experience the italian life style, living in a 500 years old italian villa, with all antique furniture n feel the italian tradition. The location of the house is perfect for those who want to visit the art sites of the area n relax in the country without the stress of living in a town. The villa is perfect for golfers too because we have 7 golf courses in the area n in the frame of ½ hour to 1 hour drive you can reach them

Villa Castellare de’ Sernigi has two large and bright living rooms on the upper floor where you can spend pleasant moments of total relaxation, surrounded by the tranquility of the Chianti area and illuminated by the warm rays of the Tuscan sun. The living rooms are furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs and through the enormous arched windows you can glimpse the access road to the Villa with its tall cypress trees. In one of the living rooms there is a magnificent stone fire-place bearing the Sernigi Family crest. The floors are all in old hand-made terracotta. All the arches and openings of the Villa belong to the original structure of the house. The bright, relaxing rooms can accommodate up to 11/12 persons. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. All the bathrooms have been completely restored and have large showers. The furnishings have been carefully studied in order to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment which is in harmony with the entire structure of the Villa. The large dining room in the Villa is the ideal place for enjoying the typical dishes of the Chianti region in the company of friends. There is, in fact, a 3-metre table which can be extended out to 4.5 metres (for 12-20 persons) which is perfect for your lunches or dinners, but also for an afternoon snack of “fettunta” (slices of toasted bread drizzled with olive oil - typical of the Tuscan gastronomical tradition). The furnishing of the dining room conserves an antique style characterized by various sideboards and antique wooden cupboards. Furthermore, the plates and dishes are decorated with the original crest of the Sernigi family.

Outside Area:In the summer period you can comfortably eat outside the Villa – in fact, you can use the large gazebo in the courtyard which has an enormous table for 20 persons. Upon request, it is also possible to organize dinners in the spacious garden. Villa Castellare de’ Sernigi offers its guests a large open-air swimming pool area, in the tranquil countryside of the Chianti region. The large swimming pool area is the ideal place in which to enjoy the Tuscan sun. You can, therefore, add enjoyment to your vacation in the Chianti area around our pool, which is equipped with comfortable sun-beds, and relax under the shade of the olive trees. On the lawn right next to the pool is a splendid gazebo covered in vines, with chairs and a table which offers refreshing shade during the hottest hours of the day. There is also a changing cabin with a fridge in which to keep drinks cool, and an outside shower.
