The Pigeonnier at Labarthe stands to the front left of the property (upon entry) and comprises a self contained 2 storey, stoned tower with one double bed room for two persons. Linen and towels are provided. Labarthe, midway between the medieval bastide villages of Eymet and Issigeac, is set in 2 acres of mature well maintained mature gardens, laid mainly to expansive lawn but featuring many and varied varieties of fruit trees, acers, a unique fox glove tree, hydrangias, camellias and perennials. It is surrounded by oak trees, walnut groves and fruit orchards presenting a delightful secluded holiday retreat away from the pressure and stress of 21st century life. However, for those guests that just have to stay in touch we can provide WiFi broadband internet connectivity. There is a petanque piste for you "pointeurs et tireurs" to play boules and of course there is the large solar heated swimming pool for bathing, a solar shower, sun loungers and a shaded area for relaxation and shade from summer sun.

here are supermarkets, shops, bakeries and restaurants only a short drive away in the towns of Eymet and Lauzun. The area itself is renowned for its fishing, canoeing, delighful countryside and historic buildings. It is an ideal location for walking, horseriding, fishing and cycling in peaceful surrounds. There is a superb 27 hole golf course some 20 kms west at Chateau des Vigiers on the outskirts of Ste Foy la Grande and several other courses within easy driving distance including the delightful 18 hole course on the outskirts of Villeneuve du Lot to the south.

Rental notes: Full payment including a damage/loss/excess cleaning deposit of £100 must be made 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. A booking agreed less than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date must be paid in full.

On the ground floor is a lounge, dining area and kitchen (fitted with gas cooker, refrigerators, microwave). There is a log burning stove, radio, TV set with Video and DVD for evening entertainment. The double bedroom above is accessed via the staircase to the pigeon tower. The heated shower room, toilet and WC is located on the ground floor.

Outside Area:At the front of the property is a large lawned area, set with fruit trees. Clients staying in the Pigeonnier enjoy the privacy of their own pergola shaded terrace with patio furniture, BBQ and use of the garden
