Oronsay Cottage, set on a private hillside location with panoramic views overlooking Loch Linnhe into the Glencoe/Argyllshire mountains. The site is in an ideal central position for touring the Highlands and Islands, covering a wide range of leisurely pursuits and activities. The Islands of Skye, Mull, lona and many more are reasonably accessible as are numerous mainland locations. Onich is an ideal base for discovering the magic this part of Scotland has to offer.

Springwell represents the West Highlands of Scotland at their very best where the dramatic mountains of brooding Glencoe meet the stunning Lochaber coastline. The steep sloping former croft comprises an area of natural woodland of great ecological interest with rich diversity of flora and fauna. The hillside, russet with bracken in Autumn and clad with bluebells in early summer, is fringed with birch, hazel, holly, alder, willow and ash. During a recent mid April weekend in Oronsay Cottage we were lucky to find perfect spring weather with the season some two weeks ahead of normal and the daffs at the road end just beginning to die back with the grass greening up underfoot. A sunny morning ramble up the hillside behind the cottages was particularly rewarding for me and my two companions.

This single storey cottage has been extensively renovated in 2009 and now provides 4 bedrooms and large semi open plan sitting room with kitchen and dining area. It has 2 bathrooms, one ensuite the other with walk in shower. There is an extra wc and wash hand basins in each bedroom. The heating system has also been upgraded and new carpets and furniture have been installed and the house redecorated.
