We, Ken and Ana Male welcome you to our bed and breakfast, a comfortable three bedroom underground dwelling. Situated in Potch Gully this is a bed and breakfast with a difference. We KNOW that you will find that this unique town and its style of living will provide you with an experience that you will never forget. Ever since opal was discovered and miners moved to the area, dugouts became a preferred accommodation. Dugouts, being a relatively constant temperature, they provide comfortable living in the summer heat as well as when the desert winter nights chill surface dwellers to the bone. Coober Pedy to the ordinary Australian represents opal, underground living, life in a harsh environment, minimal government restrictions, unique landscape, isolation and tourism. The township of Coober Pedy has underground churches, shops, motels and a hotels, as well as caravan and camping areas. The National Award winning Desert Cave Hotel is a prominent feature in Coober Pedy's main street. There are many sporting clubs to cater for the many differing interests including swimming, badminton, basketball, football, cricket, 8-ball, soccer, motor club, rifle club and netball. There is also an RSL Club, Lions Club, Italian Club, Croatian Club, Greek Club, and Serbian Club/Hall. Coober Pedy has a resident doctor and a very modern 40 bed hospital, The Royal Flying Doctor Service is on call for emergencies. Opal workings now extend for nearly 40 kilometres around the township and local tours are available.

Our bed and breakfast has all the comforts of home. The kitchen and dining area is spacious and well appointed, with modern, spotless appliances that make for a truly comfortable self-catering stay. Our lounge areas are quiet and roomy with comfortable furniture. Plenty of room to spread out. Our bedrooms are roomy and comfortable with great queen-size matresses and comfy doonas. The master bedroom boasts an en-suite while the other two share the main bathroom. Each bed also has its own television too. Rooms 2 and 3 are connecting rooms, room 2 has a queen sized bed and room 3 has twin single beds with trundle mattresses.

Outside Area:This area is just perfect to entertain, either just your family or a heap of friends. Room for the kids to play if the weathers crook or roll out your indoor bowls set.
