British Virgin Islands vacation house - Virgin Gorda holiday home in Caribbean

This vacation home for rent on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, is located on a hilltop overlooking the island-dotted Caribbean Sea to the west, the Atlantic to the east, and much of beautiful Virgin Gorda. The Hunter family's Boulder House, was built surrounding a large boulder. It features two bedrooms, along with a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bath. This house, too, has decks that face both of the seas as well as overlooking the Valley, Gorda Peak and the north end of the island. The Boulder House and the nearby Cedar House, on a 3 1/2 private hilltop estate, are owned and operated by the Hunter family in a partnership called Hunter Homes, Ltd. The Hunter family has made Virgin Gorda a second home since the 1070, so we know the island inside out. Each of our houses comes with a free vehicle for your use, so there's no need to hire an expensive rental car. If you have a large group, consider renting both of our houses together and having our entire hilltop to yourselves for your holiday. We've done this for family reunions, wedding parties, and other gatherings. We love to share our homes with both newcomers as well as our regular annual visitors. For this reason, we keep our rates quite modest. If you don’t need the luxury of a private pool and a fancy villa, our private home might be your ticket to the perfect, affordable vacation!

Virgin Gorda, with a population of about 2500 and a total area of 21 square kilometers, is the second largest of the British Virgin Islands after the capital, Tortola. Visitors are immediately struck by the beauty, hospitality, and peace of the island. There are some 20 beaches and excellent snorkeling locations on Virgin Gorda. The island is known for the beauty of its white sand beaches often framed by huge boulders. With the exception of the famous Baths, the beaches are seldom crowded. A variety of restaurants is available for dining out. There are several small shopping areas where food and supplies can be purchased. Snorkeling equipment and other water sports equipment can be rented.

Additional Guests: Youths age 3-18 yrs: 20USD/night Additional Adults: 25USD/night Visits of less than 1 week, for the first two guests, will be 256USD/night(summer), and 330USD/night (winter). Rarely offered in winter season.

The house takes it's name from the large boulder around which the house is built. It features two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and one with a full bed and a twin bed. Inside, full-length louvered windows on all exterior walls permit you to fully enjoy the ever-present tropical breezes. Common areas are a combined living and dining area, a full bath and a fully equipped kitchen. The price includes full use of household equipment, utilities, linens, and limited daily maid service(Mon.-Sat.).

Outside Area:The house has large yards and decks that face both of the seas as well as overlooking the Valley, Gorda Peak and the north end of the island.
