Aquitaine holiday gites overlooking the Pyrénées - 3 Ance self catering gites

Sharon, Clive and family offer high quality, self-catering, holiday gite accommodation. Les Granges are situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees, and have fantastic views of the mountains in a very beautiful, rural part of France. Our charming gites are located in the pretty farming village of Ance with many local walks leading you up hills to breathtaking panoramas of the mountains and through woods and along rivers. Tastefully decorated throughout, the three gites offer spacious accommodation, and can be rented individually or as a whole, and are able to accommodate up to 16 guests.
 Les Granges is 10 mins from the local market town of Oloron Ste Marie,which has a beautiful cathedral and the main Gave d'Oloron running through it. There are many restaurants and shops and the local market runs on Friday mornings.

The Gites are located in the pretty village of Ance, 10 mins from the local town of Oloron Ste Marie, which has a beautiful cathedral and the main Gave d'Oloron running through it. There are many restaurants and shops and a local weekly market every Friday morning. There is a wealth of activities to take advantage of. You can enjoy parapenting, horse riding, quad biking, kayaking, skiing and lots more! The scenery is stunning surrounded by mountains, trees and waterfalls and many varieties of birds of prey soaring in the skies. The beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz are an hour and half away and Spain is less than an hour's drive. The city of Pau, the capital of the Bearn region, is only an hour's drive away and has cobbled streets and boutiques. Les Granges are situated at the foothills of the Pyrenees in the Bearn region of South West France, 10 km from the market town of Oloron Ste Marie, the town where the French beret was invented! Cycling and mountain biking is in abundance, and the gorges and grottes (ancient caves with stalagmites and stalagtites) are simply breathtaking. Aquabearn Water Park, a 20-minute drive, has slides, pools, picnic areas and restaurants. The Adventure Park is 10 minutes drive away and with harness and safety equipment (supplied) you can climb through the trees, abseil and even bungee jump, if you want!

Rental notes: The prices are listed for La Belle Grange rental, please email us to get prices for other two gites. During November, December, January, February and March we also offer short off season breaks for a minimum of 3 nights, starting at 50 GBP for La Petite Grange, 75 GBP for La Grange and 100 GBP for La Belle Grange (for 8 people - discounts available for smaller parties). The balance due a minimum of 6 weeks prior to holiday start date. In addition a 'breakables' deposit of 100 euro is payable on arrival. This will be returned in full on your departure day, subject to everything being in order.

Les Granges are avaible to rent individually or as a whole and are able to sleep up to 16 people. There is a main reception area for all guests to enjoy. Providing you with a play area for the children with various toys, games and books available, along with plenty of information regarding the local area, including maps. Our recent renovation La Belle Grange is our most spacious gite and is ideal for 2 families or one large family wanting some space. There is an open plan kitchen and dining area which has a very practical work island dividing the two. There is a lounge area with TV (English and French channels)and DVD/CD player. Also on the ground floor is a separate WC and a double bedroom with en suite shower room/WC. The bedroom has french doors leading out onto the private terrace. The first floor has 2 further bedrooms, one double room and one family room having twin beds and a double sofabed. There is a family bathroom with bath and shower above, basin and WC.

Outside Area:The south facing and sun drenched gardens overlooking the Pyrénées are there for everyone to enjoy. There is a trampoline, with safety net and children’s swings and slides. The sundeck and pool area is shared with the owner and other guests and it offers a perfect suntrap with uninterrupted views of the mountains, Heaven! The gardens measure 2500 sq m with a 60 sq m pool deck and 9.5m x 4.5m pool. The pool has a depth of 1.32 m which will re-assure parents.
