La Fornacina is the perfect solution for up to 14 people and lies among rolling hills in Southern Tuscany. Centered in a pristine natural environment, the house is near the thermal baths of Saturnia, in the Morellino di Scansano territory just an hour-and-a-half from Rome’s Fiumicino International Airport. We are centrally located between Rome and Florence, both at less than two hours by car and therefore perfectly suited for day trips to all kind of natural, historical and food/wine attractions. We are in the Maremma Tuscany region, also know as the wild virgin “far west” of central Italy.

Indoors, you will find a beautifully equipped gourmet kitchen (look for the wood-burning brick oven for cooking and for making pizza!) And treat yourself with the local delicacies as you cook with your friends or group. We offer an excellent personal chef on request; enjoy your meal in our large dining room whose table can accommodate up to 16 people. Our 4-sided fireplace is ideal for cozying up on cold nights, allowing people to relax their way, in the four rooms that enjoy the crackling fire. The comfortable living room TV, books, WiFi available throughout the land for your enjoyment. The house is equipped with tools for creative and artistic people, such as books, games, easels and bright and comfortable spaces where guests can develop their creative flow, great corners for writing, painting landscapes, areas for brainstorming, meadows by stretching or working in groups, not to mention the lush pool area for a quick dip between stints of your creative thinking.
