Sleeping up to 8 people, Las Alegrias is a recently converted villa in the Andalucian style. Private pool 12mx5m. Spacious terracing, al-fresco dining areas, 2 BBQs. Comfortable, strong furniture/fittings. Modern well fitted kitchen. Superb walking, pony-trekking and mountain biking countryside. Golf nearby. Las Alegrias is situated in the rural outskirts of the bustling small market town of Orgiva, capital of the Alpujarra region, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. 30 minutes from the Coast; 30 minutes from La Alhambra Palace in Granada. The view to the north is of the high Sierra Nevada mountain range and to the south of the Sierra de Lugar and Contraviesa mountain ranges. The villa is bordered by an olive grove and an unmade-up back road which winds its way up into Orgiva town, about 15 minutes walk away.

Orgiva, the capital of La Alpujarra, is the starting point from which to explore the fascinating string of white-washed Moorish villages carved into the southern slopes of the dramatic Sierra Nevada, the highest mountain range in Spain. The region offers views of unsurpassed beauty all year around with a huge variety of flora, fauna and bird life. This bustling market town has a good choice of restaurants and tapas bars. Luckily you will more often than not be given free tapas when you drink at a bar. This habit seems to be dwindling in other areas of Spain. There is an excellent choice of food shops, fish, meat and vegetable shops and supermarkets, catering for every dietary need. 30 minutes drive south lies the Costa Tropical with beaches ranging from secluded coves to large resorts. There are Water and Theme Parks and you can enjoy sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing and scuba diving. There are many restaurants, beach cafes and bars to choose from.

LIVING ACCOMMODATION: The living/dining area houses comfortable sofas, armchairs, a large wood-burner and a pine dining table and six chairs. The kitchen is very well equipped. We use the villa for our own holidays so have included every facility to make life as easy and relaxed as possible. Just outside the living room is a large terrace with a dining table seating up to ten. SLEEPING ACCOMMODATION: From the living area you enter a small hallway leading to bedroom one with a large king-size bed and its en-suite bathroom housing bath with shower over, bidet, WC and wash-basin. From this hall is a large separate shower-room with WC, and finally the entrance door to an internal courtyard housing the washing machine. From Bedroom One there are connecting doors to Bedroom 2, a large twin, and a hallway leading to Bedroom 3: a bunk bedroom with sturdy beds one above the other. These 2 bedrooms share a large bathroom housing bath with shower over, bidet, WC, wash-basin. From this hall are stairs up to Bedroom 4, a large bedroom with seating area and a large terrace, plus en-suite shower room. At the left of the villa as you look at the front, under the over-hang and with its private patio is the third entrance into Bedroom 5, a queen-sized double with en-suite shower room with WC.
Outside Area:Wide terracing and patios along the front of the villa provide shade and sun with a spacious al-fresco dining area. The garden is bordered with fencing and a large wrought iron entrance gate. The car-port for two cars is shaded plus lots of remaining space for other cars. Next door is an olive grove. GARDEN: It houses lots of plants, trees and shrubs. The front garden viewed directly from the house has been landscaped. From the pool area there is a large garden area mainly to lawn and trees, with a swing seat and a hammock.
