Although we are located in the middle of the countryside, the local area is steeped in history and provides many attractions to suit all interests. Why not combine your holiday with flying lessons, horse riding and meeting the animals of our ever-expanding farm. Stunning scenery and the ancient cities of Limoges, Perigueux, Angouleme and La Rochelle are less than an hour away by light aircraft. Also, it could be the perfect way to end a house-hunting trip, fly over all the properties you have been viewing and see them from a different perspective. Flying lessons and air-experience flights are provided in conjunction with the Aeroclub de Limoges whose rates are around 40% cheaper than most UK flight schools while offering more-reliable weather and the superior facilities of an international airport. We also have ponies and riding horses available for guests to ride. The countryside in the area has many wonderful rides in the forests where you may be lucky enough to see some of wild animals and birds.

Our properties are within walking distance of open countryside, woods, lakes and the local village where there is a pub, restaurant, tobacconist and bakery. Stunning scenery and the ancient cities of Limoges, Perigueux, Angouleme and La Rochelle are less than an hour away by light aircraft.

La Chataigneraie. Farmhouse has 3 double bedrooms and 1 family room all with double beds. Family room also has single bed and cot. 4 bathrooms in total. 2 with shower, wc and basin; 1 with shower, bath, wc and basin; 1 with bath, wc and basin. Kitchen is fully equipped. Living room has superb open fireplace and dining table. La Porcherie. This gite has 1 mezzanine bedroom with a double bed. Bathroom has free-standing antique bath, wc and basin. Kitchen is fully equipped. Cosy living room has wood-burning stove, double sofa bed.

Outside Area:There is the pool, table tennis, badminton, bicycles, pets corner and 5 hectares of private land to keep everyone busy on-site. The pool is exclusive to La Chataigneraie, but if the 2 properties are booked together can be used for both properties. Both properties have beautiful private gardens, own BBQ and garden furniture.
