La Grange is situated in the beautiful Perigord Vert region of South West France. It is set in 8 acres of mature grounds and with beautiful views over the Perigordian countryside. La Grange was originally a farmhouse which can trace its history back to the first half of the 17th Century when it was part of the local priory. La Grange offers a choice of 3 holiday cottages overlooking a peaceful central courtyard with easy access to the pool. La grange is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.

La Grange is between 2 villages, Verteillac and Bertric-Buree, both are 2.5km 40 mins walking, and provide restaurants, bars, bakers, butchers, bank and 'Merlaud' the shop that sells everything. Nearest market town Riberac and supermarkets 10 mins drive. Market day is Friday morning. There are many places of interest close to us as well as some being a bit of a drive away. There are numerous extremely good restaurants within a few minutes drive. Large supermarkets (2) are in Riberac along with banks, newsagents, shops, bars, restaurants, etc. We also have quite a few equestrian places locally. We provide bikes for those who fancy an off road adventure. (small fee) There are also plenty of walking trails. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach. Chateau Longeveau 9 hole, challenging. Good facilities including tennis courts. Perigeueux, 18 hole parkland course with lots of water on the back nine.

The oldest part of La Grange, La Vielle Maison has been skillfully converted from a tobacco drying barn to an attractive and charming cottage. This spacious house sleeps up to 8 provided 4 are children! The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen/breakfast room, which includes dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker and combination oven. A large sitting room with a dining area. There is wifi access. It features an impressive stone fireplace and a stunning view over the Sauvanie valley.There is a French window leading out into a shaded private garden/dining area. On the first floor there is a luxurious bathroom and an open plan sleeping area, with single beds. Above, in the roof area, there are 2 heavily beamed bedrooms, one king size bed and the other a double bed. La Taniere is a very unusual higgledy, piggledy house. It has 3 bedrooms, an open plan living/dining area, with a wood burner in the living area, a fully equipped galley kitchen, with fridgefreezer, microwave, cooker etc. (there is a laundry room with washing machines), and a shower room. TV with DVD player, also a music centre. The bedrooms are all on the first floor which are heavily timbered. Outside in the courtyard, La Taniere has a private and pretty sheltered dining area. La Maison du Jardin is set back slightly from the main courtyard, with its own private summer dining area. This is a very pretty cottage covered in roses! The accommodation on a single level, consists of an airy living/dining room with an open plan kitchen area, 2 bedrooms and a shower room. The living area has exposed beams and an imposing fireplace with a wood-burning stove. La Maison du Jardin is all on 1 level, and would therefore be suitable for people with some mobility problems.

Outside Area:Our pool is 6x12m, it is fitted with the regulation approved alarm and enclosed, although parents are still expected to watch their children. We have tabletop games such as scrabble, lots of books as well as plenty of outdoor games, such as boules, and croquet! We have a very pretty sun terrace, with outdoor furniture and umbrellas provided. Barbecues are also provided. We also have bikes (for a small fee) for those who feel energetic and the need to venture beyond La Grange.
