"A Place In Paradise" is a 1bedroom/1bathroom vacation rental located on a lush, tropical, mountainside with gorgeous, ocean views overlooking Dorothea Beach and its outlying islands of Inner and Outer Brass. You can hear the waves! This home is the only vacation rental on this 1 acre property. It is filled with flowering tropical plants and fruit trees. We have coconut, mango, soursop, banana, avocado, lime, cashew trees as well as poor man's orchids, African tulip trees, flamboyant and huge palms on this property. Your privacy is assured in this safe, serene and lush location. There is a full kitchen. It has with an electric stove with oven and full-sized refrigerator. There is a coffeemaker, kettle, microwave, toaster oven, blender and toaster for your convenience. It has all silverware, glassware, dishware, bake-ware, pots, pans and cooking utensils, should you feel like dining at home. There is a propane grill and outdoor furniture such as a chaise lounge, table and chairs for lounging on the deck. A favorite end of day past-time is dining "Al fresco" while sipping a tasty, tropical, frozen drink while watching the colors of the sky and ocean change as dusk settles in. We provide beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler for your use. The living room is tastefully furnished with a rattan sofa and loveseat in a colorful, tropical print. Located on the pristine east end of St. John, Dreekets Bay is known among locals for having some of the best snorkeling and diving in the Caribbean. Reached by a scenic drive through the National Park along paved roads from Cruz Bay, the location of The Retreat offers an experience of untouched, secluded natural beauty just a fifteen minute drive from outstanding restaurants featuring local and continental cuisine in Coral Bay. Stunning views of the bay and across Sir Francis Drake Passage to the magnificent island of Tortola encompass you as you approach The Retreat by road. Each room of the house is oriented to maximize these sweeping vistas, second to none of St. John. No other homes overlook The Retreat, and across Dreekets Bay from the house lies the untouched landscape of Virgin Islands National Park. The front of each pavilion is a glazed rollup door, allowing the entire wall to open up to tropical breezes and the view. Just 110' below the house down a private trail.

A Place In Paradise has a king-sized bed with comfy pillows. There is an ample amount of drawer and closet space in the bedroom. There are beautiful ocean views from every window. There are plenty of hangers, an iron and small ironing board should you need them. There are laundry facilities available for your use on the same deck level. There are ceiling and walls fans throughout to enhance our cool tropical breezes. There is a full kitchen. It has with an electric stove with oven and full-sized refrigerator. There is a coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven, blender and toaster for your convenience. It has all silverware, glassware, dishware, bake-ware, pots, pans and cooking utensils, should you feel like dining at home.
