Oroklini holiday apartment rental - Superbly appointed home in Larnaca, Cyprus

This superbly appointed one-bedroomed apartment which sleeps four people was completed in May 2006. The apartment is right on the edge of the village giving an uninterrupted view to the coast yet it is only a seven minute walk to the village centre. There you will find a well stocked supermarket, at least five very good tavernas, a couple of quiet bars, a bank, a pharmacy and two bakeries which stay open until very late. The apartment is on the first floor of this showcase development, 'Mediterranean Sunrise', built to high standard and exacting specifications. There is a lift to all floors of the three-storey block. A beautiful uninterrupted view towards the coast across open countryside and olive groves to the blue Mediterranean! Start the day with breakfast on the balcony, in the Cyprus sunshine... Then later, imagine yourself relaxing in the quiet of the evening, glass of wine in hand.

Oroklini (also called Voroklini) is situated some 5 miles to the north of Larnaca town and about two miles from the sea. The main feature of the area is the outcrop of low hills which form a backdrop to the village. The centre of the village is quite traditional with narrow streets and still a few older mud-brick houses with original wooden doors and shutters. Most of the 'village' nowadays, however, consists of modern houses. It is truly a delightful village, a favourite with tourists due to its tranquility and proximity to the beach. Our apartment is only seven minutes walk from a well-stocked supermarket and if you don't want to cook there is a good take-away producing both Cypriot and English dishes as well as a popular pizzeria. There are at least six very good tavernas ready to welcome you. Oriklini has two excellent bakeries which are open until very late - even on Sundays! You will also find the essential services you require such as a bank, pharmacy and computer shop

Rental notes: Balance being payable 8 weeks prior to departure, or if booking within 8 weeks of departure, the full amount should be sent. A breakage deposit of 200 pounds will be required. We do not allow young single-sex groups sorry! The changeover Day varies by arrangement.

Our settee which converts into a double bed (bedding provided). There is a satellite TV (free-to-air) and DVD player as well as a portable radio/CD player. The room has a combined air-conditioning/heating unit and a powerful free-standing fan is also provided. There are three sliding doors opening on to the balcony which can open from left or right. On the balcony is a 4ft round table and four chairs with cushions. This is a lovely, tranquil room... Bedroom The air-conditioned bedroom has two single beds. The air-conditioning unit also has a heating facility. Again, in traditional style, locally made Cypriot furniture has been used. There is fantastic built-in storage in two floor-to-ceiling wardrobes, incorporating shelves, drawers and hanging space. Access to the balcony by two sliding doors. All bed linen is provided. Kitchen The apartment has an open-plan lounge with a fully-equipped kitchen at one end. Includes: crockery, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, cleaning utensils, folding clothes airier & pegs The bathroom is nice and roomy, It has a full-size bath with a shower over. There is a mobile phone ('So Easy' for guest use)

Outside Area:You will love the pool and the sun-lounging area - just right for making sure you go home with the best suntan! There are two feature pools for exclusive use of residents. The larger, deeper pool has a superb rock and waterfall feature. There is a bridge separating the deeper pool from the shallower one [this is ideal for children - 18 inches deep]. There is also a whirlpool/Jacuzzi beside the main pool and ornamental flower gardens complement the area well. It feels completely private in the pool area, as it is entirely enclosed. There are separate male and female showers, toilets and changing rooms situated beside the pool. Sun loungers are provided around the pool. At night, the pool looks fantastic when it is floodlit underwater
