Opening onto the patio you will find the TV lounge with satellite TV, DVD/CD player. Next is the dinning-room, the kitchen, small but well-equipped. On the third side is the large sitting-room where you can order a succulent Moroccan dinner, light a wood fire in the fireplace or simply sip your mint tea. On the first floor, a balcony runs on three sides overlooking the patio. You will find on one side a double room and a twin room, both with an en-suite shower room. On the other side is the suite, with a larger bedroom and its four-poster bed, a small sitting-room with a sofa which converts to sleep two and a bathroom with a lovely round bath tub made in tadelakt. On the second floor on the terrace is the last double room with its en-suite shower room, and also the utility room. On the terrace you can sunbathe, even in the winter. There is also an outside shower to cool down in the summer.

Dar Zinnia is in a quiet alley of the Kasbah, one of the oldest districts of the medina of Marrakesh, situated between the Saadian Tombs and the old royal palace. This district, less frantic than around the central square is a favourite breeding ground for the storks which can be seen in their nest, perched on top of the old walls. The dar is a few minutes from the Saadian Tombs. The Majorelle garden, outside the walled town is a short taxi ride away. So is the Ménara garden, on the road to the Ourika valley. All the other sites are within walking distance, approximately ten to twenty minutes from the house. At night, switch off all the lights, lie back on the sunchairs and enjoy the magic of the starlit nights from the rooftop. In the summer, you can even sleep under the stars.
