Rotonda West family villa - Florida Gulf Coast golf villa with river views

Beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom air conditioned villa located on a double plot so you are not overlooked on either side. Sleeps six people. Situated in Rotonda West, one of the best kept secrets in this region, the villa is within a few minutes drive of several Gulf Coast beaches, shops, restaurants and is well located for golf courses and sea or river fishing. Five golf courses are on Rotonda and several others are within easy driving distance. The villa has trees on either side so it feels especially spacious. The outlook at the rear is south facing and onto the river, so this is a place to relax in.

This is a nature lovers area, many birds large & small, great fishing, boating, tennis and golf -- and it is all nearby. Driving a little way and you can find horse riding, Nature reserves, State parks to explore and nature trails that offer wildlife viewing. Sarasota, Bradenton & Tampa have fine shopping and museums (eg Ringling house and arts centre), the Marine Centre in Sarasota is worth visiting, Ellendon has a great big outlets discount shoppers complex. The Edison and Henry Ford houses in Fort Myers are good to visit too. Locally, Port Charlotte, Venice and Englewood have varied restaurants, cafes and nearby we have 3 excellent supermarkets. There is also a local theatre in Englewood. Kayak & jet ski hire, and bike rental are available near Mannesota Key (two bikes are supplied with the villa). Some of our guests have been golf fanatics and say the courses are good. For children there is plenty to do and see whether you want to be active or just relax.

Rental notes: Payment can be made in GB£, US$ or Euro by cheque or by electronic inter-bank payment. Long stays (over 3 weeks) are entitled to a discount. Charges are inclusive of taxes, electricity and cleaning. No supplementary pool heating is required as our pool has eco-friendly highly effective solar heating system. All bookings are subject to deposit to reserve dates requested, completion of our standard booking form and payment of the remaining holiday rental balance 8 weeks prior to arrival date. A £125 / $200 refundable security/breakages deposit is also required at time of final payment. Security/breakages deposit will be refunded within 20 days of guests departure.

Hardwood floors are in all living areas with carpet in the bedrooms, marble window sills and comfortable high quality sofas. As you enter the villa the wow factor is good. Large living area or lounge leading to an open plan kitchen - both have sliding glass doors to the lanai (patio). Eco-friendly solar heated pool with spa that overlook the river in a beautiful setting. Master bedroom and kitchen breakfasting nook also open to pool area. The sleeping accommodation in 3 bedrooms includes one queen-size bed, one double bed and one room with twin single beds. There is a master suite with walk-in shower and large bath and twin basins, a guest bathroom and a separate poolside toilet. Kitchen has modern appliances and leads onto a breakfast nook with river views. A laptop computer with broadband connection is available for guest use and can be used in any room. It is ideal for email and internet surfing use.

Outside Area:If you eat outside and we generally do so, you are likely to notice many wild birds - both large and small, turtles, and sometimes jumping fish (a sign of happiness so they say). In the early morning or late at night you might catch sight of or hear a raccoon, or a bobcat. Solar heated pool with spa hot tub that overlook the river in a beautiful setting. 6 poolside chairs and large oval table help you enjoy outside relaxation. 4 cushioned sun-loungers are included to help you soak up the Florida sunshine! The pool can be safety screened if you have young children. We have a bookcase shelf filled with info on things to do and see as well as a reference book that lists good eating places. A laptop computer is present for guest use. It has high speed broadband connection. Beach chairs, 4 fishing rods and a keepnet are in the garage and can be used by guests. Several shops and Walmart have fishing tackle if you want particular items and bait shops can be found by Mannesota Key bridge, in Cape Haze and off Placeda. There are a few pool toys and toddler toys in the garage as well. for older children (and adults) a drive to the Everglades to take an Airboat ride is a great outing! Worth visiting: Olive Garden restaurant in Port Charlotte + Rum Bay and Johnny Loverocks restaurants to one side of Rotonda near Lemon Bay, Trattoria 21 in Placida road near Rotonda, The Crows' Nest restaurant by Venice harbour.
