Villa Serena is a Balinese 3 bedroom 2 bath home with wrapping lanai surrounded by Mango, Cashew & Frangipani trees is less than a 2 minute walk to miles of secluded white sand beach with pristine coral reef just off shore. This gated community offers a fresh water pool, PADI dive shop, restaurant, dock, water sports, fishing, horse back riding, hiking, snorkeling, beach chairs under a palapa and a very friendly staff. Villa Serena is well furnished with cotton sheets, plenty of towels, cooking equipment, paper products, soaps, and a knowledgeable manager who lives within the community. Palmetto Bay Plantation is on the side of the island that has the beaches (north shore) and it is far enough away from the older developed areas that the coral is still pristine, yet it is only 30 minutes to the airport ~ actually closer than West Bay and West End. Even during Semana Santa it is a pleasantly quiet beach.

Villa Serena is in the Palmetto Bay Plantation which is on the north shore of the island of Roatan. The north shore is the shore with the beaches. It is across the island from the old fishing village of French Harbour. It is about a 10 minute boat ride to the Black Pearl golf course; 15 minutes by car to a large grocery; 20 minutes to the airport; and 40 minutes to West End. There is a canopy tour about a 15 minute drive away.

Balinese house well ventilated via high louvered sliding doors and windows with covered lanais off master of great room, master suite and second bedroom. House is surrounded by fruit, nut and flowering trees that offer much privacy. Master suite on one end of house with second and third bedroom on the opposite end. Master and second bedrooms have queen captain beds and third bedroom has a full bed that will sleep two children comfortably. The master suite opens to the lanai and has a bath area with double vanity, seated tiled showed and separate toilet. The second and third bath share a bath with a tiled shower. The great room seats 6 for dining. The kitchen is equiped with a full size refrigerator and 4 burner gas cook top, microwave, convection oven, coffee maker, toaster, and blender.

Outside Area:Experience the best of three worlds: tropical gardens, beach, & coral reef. Have your coffee on the lanai while watching and listening a variety of birds, geckos, monkey lalas, bats, bush rabbits, and iguana. Take a short walk for a splash in the pool; or recline under a palapa while letting the ocean soothe your soul; take a long walk along the beach where you will find beautiful conch shells. This stretch of beach is one of the few on the island where shells are found. Maybe you would like to snorkel the reef or the wreck just off shore. You can lie in the hammock on the dock and read a book; or you can go for a dive; paddle board or go golfing. There are several zip lines near by. Or you can just walk around the the gated neighborhood and take in all the beautiful gardens.
