Domain le Bost, on the outskirts of Thiviers offers you an oasis of peace in the Sunny southwest of France. The medieval town of Thiviers is situated on a hilltop above the confluence of the rivers the Isle and the Cole, on the border of the Perigord Vert and the Perigord Blanc on the pilgrimage route of Santiago the Compostella. On our domain we rent out 6 spacious and luxurious holiday cottages, all of wich are self catering units. We also offer one B&B suite. All cottages have terraces wich offer a beautiful view of Thiviers and its surrounding landscape. You can take a dip in our large above ground pool of 32 x 16 feet and for the little tots we have a paddling. Several times a week we offer home cooked meals (tables d’hôtes). Ideal for when you don’t feel like cooking. After all you’re on holiday! We are here to welcome and pamper you and will try our very best to make your stay unforgettable.

Thiviers is on the highest point of the hills, on the border of the Périgord Vert and the Périgord Blanc. It’s on the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostella. Today Thiviers is known as the capital of the foie gras. Every Saterday there is a large market, one of the largest in the region, specialising in local produce, such as foie gras, wines, cheeses, nuts, flowers etc. From June to September all kinds of tourist activities can be found in and in Thiviers. Brantôme is the beautiful old town is also known as the Venice of the Dordogne. It is situated on an island, at the gates of the national parc of the Périgord and the Limousin. You can visit the ancient abbey, which dates from the 9th or 10th century and take a stroll along the small and cosy streets. The many restaurants that specialise in regional products are well worth a visit. There is a small swimming lake with a sandy beach and pedalos at Nantheuil (3km) and a much larger lake at Rouffiac (45 minutes drive) with water sports, a swimming beach and restaurant. Saint Jean de Cole is lovely little village that is considered one of the loveliest villages in France (un des plus beaux villages de France). Here it is as lively as it is small. The beautiful square, on which you find the 15th century Chateau de la Marthonie, is a must see.

Rental notes: The remainder is to be paid at least 6 weeks before the arrival date. If you make your reservation within 6 weeks before the arrival date, the total amount is to be paid in full. Deposit is 200 euro per cottage, which will be refunded to you within one month after departure. Any damage will be debited from the deposit. Bed and breakfast room 75 euro/night, including breakfast. For stays of one night, only during high season, a surcharge of 10 euro will apply.

Gite Angouleme is one of the two adjoining cottages that are built in a typical perigordian style. All rooms are on the ground floor and it sleeps five people. There is a spacious living room, three bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet. In the large kitchen you'll find everything you need.

Outside Area:The terrace provides a magnificent view of Thiviers and its surroundings. Private grounds of 8 acres, surrounded by many trees and parkland.
