Guests enjoy the garden and mountain vistas while breakfasting on the deck, and leisurely walks down a forested trail beside a spectacular 100' waterfall that takes you right to the beach at Kootenay lake. In the morning enjoy your breakfast around the generous farm table in the dining room or out on the deck enjoying the sun rising over the Purcell mountains. Fletcher Falls Cabin is an option for a more independent stay, with self-catering and dining facilities. This cozy, independent chalet-style cabin features 2 sleeping areas to accommodate up to 4 people, a fully equipped kitchen and living area with SAT T.V. and outdoor BBQ and patio. Fletcher Falls Cabin is open year-round and is fully insulated with the added warmth of an electric fireplace, so you will always feel cozy and warm!

Kootenay Lake, which runs some 80 miles through this valley and beyond, defines this area with world class fishing year-round. Activities in the area include some of the most pristine hiking trails in Canada, under ground cave tours through Cody Caves, kayaking, and fishing charters on Kootenay lake, golfing in 3 golf courses including the professional course at Crawford Bay, and visits to mining museums and local artisans. The city of Nelson, just 50 km from Fletcher Falls Lodge, is a unique and picturesque city, built on the steep mountainous terrain. Its colorful culture and unique setting makes it a unique destination of Canadian culture and craftsmanship. The world's longest free ferry ride from Balfour (about 45 minutes) across Kootenay lake takes visitors to the charming artisan community of Crawford Bay where visitors enjoy the work of glass blowers, iron mongers.

Rental notes: Nightly or weekly rental for Lodge or Cabin. Minimum 3 nights stay at Cabin from April 1 - Sept 31. No minimum nightly stays at the Lodge. The Lodge is open from April 15 - September 30. Rooms in Lodge ranges from $85 - $95/night CDN Cabin (sleeps 2 - 4) rates - $125/night CDN with a weekly rate (5 days or more) of $100/night CDN. A nightly rate of $100/night CDN applies between the months of October and March. Cabin requires a cheque or money order to confirm reservation.

Fletcher Falls Lodge is a private Bed and Breakfast retreat located at Kootenay lake, close to Nelson, BC. Nestled in a 17-acre wooded property in the heart of the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains. Breakfast at the Lodge is a celebration of the art of mingling appetizing aromas and tastes with good conversation. Our entrees consist of a variety of fruits, yogurts and egg dishes all made fresh with conscious choices about local and organic foods available. Our guests have told us that sleeping in the guest wing at the lodge is perhaps the most peaceful, quiet, full sleep they've had in years. That may be because our beds are made up with cotton sheets and hand-stitched quilts to offer an embrace of peace and serenity to our travelers. Or it may be just the fact that a country night is a deep quiet, fresh air infused sleeps. Whatever it is, it seems that our guests almost always sleep longer and deeper here than they have in years. Our Cabin is self contained, insulated and heated, suitable for year-round occupancy. Fully outfitted kitchen with dishes and utensils, bed linens and towels, with 2 sleeping areas - 1 queen and 1 double bed - this private getaway is perfect for couples or small families who want an independent, self-catering holiday stay. Activities enjoyed by our guests are hiking, kayaking on Kootenay lake, swimming, golfing, sight-seeing and sampling the small, specialty restaurants and shops in the village of Kaslo, or enjoying a soak in Ainsworth Hot Springs.

Outside Area:Just a few minutes walk is Fletcher Falls, a 100-foot waterfall embedded in a forest with a trail leading down to Kootenay Lake, this cedar-sided lodge& cabin is situated on 17 acres of private forested land. Landscaped gardens and fruit trees evoke tranquil natural beauty and offer cooling shade in the hot Summer afternoons. Winter experiences include deep snow, suitable for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. A view of the Purcell Mountains can be seen from the Kitchen windows and the deck of the Lodge. The Cabin offers a sheltered, private enclosure of tall fir and pine trees with a grassy, wild flowered meadow beside it.
