Our accommodations is a quiet, natural sanctuary for guests who want to experience a British Columbia country destination. Breakfast at the Lodge is a celebration of the art of mingling appetizing aromas and tastes with good conversation. Our entrees consist of a variety of fruits, yogurts and egg dishes all made fresh with conscious choices about local and organic foods available. Our guests have told us that sleeping in the guest wing at the lodge is perhaps the most peaceful, quiet, full sleep they've had in years. That may be because our beds are made up with cotton sheets and hand-stitched quilts to offer an embrace of peace and serenity to our travelers. Or it may be just the fact that a country night is a deep quiet, fresh air infused sleeps. Whatever it is, it seems that our guests almost always sleep longer and deeper here than they have in years. Our Cabin is self contained, insulated and heated, suitable for year-round occupancy. Fully outfitted kitchen with dishes and utensils, bed linens and towels, with 2 sleeping areas - 1 queen and 1 double bed - this private getaway is perfect for couples or small families who want an independent, self-catering holiday stay. Activities enjoyed by our guests are hiking, kayaking on Kootenay lake, swimming, golfing, sight-seeing and sampling the small, specialty restaurants and shops in the village of Kaslo, or enjoying a soak in Ainsworth Hot Springs.
Outside Area:Just a few minutes walk is Fletcher Falls, a 100-foot waterfall embedded in a forest with a trail leading down to Kootenay Lake, this cedar-sided lodge& cabin is situated on 17 acres of private forested land. Landscaped gardens and fruit trees evoke tranquil natural beauty and offer cooling shade in the hot Summer afternoons. Winter experiences include deep snow, suitable for snowshoeing and cross country skiing. A view of the Purcell Mountains can be seen from the Kitchen windows and the deck of the Lodge. The Cabin offers a sheltered, private enclosure of tall fir and pine trees with a grassy, wild flowered meadow beside it.
