Welcome to Kas Jato Bako and Kas Senkuria, beautiful holiday homes on the always sunny, warm and friendly island. After a wonderful day of snorkeling, diving or yust swimming you get back to your holiday home, Kas Jato Bako. Or rather "your property on a lot of 2625 square feet". For Kas Jato Bako is a spacious house with a large garden. It is four thirty in the afternoon and on the east side of the house quite a shadow has appeared. The same goes for the porch, but sometimes it is just more enjoyable to pick up that comfy chair and place it next to the Bougainville bushes, to observe the life as it happens in the “mondi” or “kunuku”. Although the house itself was only recently bought and the “garden” of 2150 square feet is also very new, things are beginning to grow already. And we continue musing, in the shade of the porch, with a breeze and with a smile on our faces, we have a refreshing drink. Kas Jato Bako; a lovely house on a lovely island. Enjoy it, just like we do.

Bonaire is a small island located in the southern Caribbean known for its pioneering role in the preservation of nature, in particular the preservation of the marine environment, and for its excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing, among other things. Kayak in the mangroves, the gentle bay or venture out into the open ocean for a real challenge. Enjoy the nature of the land cycling or mountain biking. Kralendijk is the capital city and main port of the island of Bonaire. Our property is located just few kilometres from Kralendijk.

Rental notes: Kas Jato Bako: Rental Price 100 USD per night, for 1 or 2 persons. Rental Price 145 USD per night, for 3 or 4 persons. Prices for Kas Senkuria are the same. The balance should be transferred at least 30 days before your arrival.

The living room is functional and completely furnished. It doesn’t lack any luxury. The seating area is has a fine seat. Would you like to watch television? Then that’s possible. Right next to the 32 inch HD television you’ll find the stereo system. This is where, except for CD’s, you can play your own DVD’s on the television. It’s also equipped with a USB connection. So feel free to bring your own music. And eh.. with no direct neighbours, it’s okay to turn up the volume, but don’t blow it up! Kas Jato Bako has two bedrooms. The master “blue room” and the standard size “green room”. Each room has two single beds (35 by 79 inches) that can be placed next to each other. Both rooms are on the east side of the house. This means you’ll be assured to have a cool breeze in the room because the wind on Bonaire almost always blows from the east. Is it still too warm or clammy? No problem. Both rooms are equipped with an air-conditioning system. They also come with a royally sized wardrobe. The bedroom windows are secured by grilles. And… the photographs that are on the bedroom walls were made by us! The brand-new trendy and very spacious concrete kitchen in Kas Jato Bako was handmade and completely decorated in 2010. It has a gas stove with four burners, at a pleasant height, with an oven underneath, it. On the other side there is a fridge with a big freezer. You’ll find enough space there to make plenty of ice cubes. Besides this, the kitchen is equipped with a water boiler, coffee machine and grilled sandwich maker. Another useful item is the extra 220 volt power outlets, who knows when you might need them!? Plates, cups, pans, bowls, oven dishes and cutlery is in abundance. The kitchen allows for you to cook your own feast, without the need to eat out every night.

Outside Area:Through the backdoor, located in the kitchen, you arrive on the large porch. On the porch there’s a storage room. That’s where we lock our private stuff, gardening tools and other utilities and that we use for maintainance of Kas Jato Bako. In case you’d like to make use of these things, for any reason whatsoever, ask our local administrator. You know where to find him. The porch faces south. The west side is accommodated with a solid fence. The south side has a gate that can be opened, and closed at night, or if you’re out for a bit. Consequently, all you valuable stuff and equipment is secured from unwanted visitors. The garden has a surface of 2150 square feet and is still for the biggest part covered in coral gravel. It’s quite a surface, and first construction took place in the spring of 2010. From the porch and beneath the kitchen window, you’ll see the “kunuku” style garden begin to take shape in the west, and on the front side of the house, the manilla-palms are waving. They’re still small, but they have the potential to become very, very big! The bougainville grows up quick, and we’re already enjoying it and the rest of the constructed garden. From here, it can only get better. Our gardener will make sure of this. On the east side we placed a lovely outdoor shower. Very convenient after coming home from a day or snorkelling and/or scuba diving. After this, take a seat on the porch, enjoy a cool drink and see the magnificent looking sun set slowly on the horizon, as the day comes to an end.
