Les Amis is a beautiful holiday home situated in the heart of the Loire valley.

It has three ensuite bedrooms, spacious open plan living room/dining room and a large practical and spacious American-style kitchen. This holiday home is beautifully set in private grounds and has it's own orchard and swimming pool with loungers. The Living Area is spacious, light and comfortable. This is a lovely family space combining kitchen, dining room and sitting area with TV and DVD player. 

The kitchen is large and modern and well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, micro-wave and fridge freezer. The three bedrooms consist of 2 double bedrooms (one downstairs one upstairs) and a twin room (upstairs). All three are ensuite with their own toilet, shower and hand basin and provide plenty of room. From the twin bedroom an external staircase provides a fire escape. The downstairs bedroom has its own entrance (if needed) from the outside and has been designed to provide access for wheelchair users, including the ensuite shower.
 Les Amis is surrounded by beautiful open countryside. Providing a very peaceful retreat. It has almost 2 acres of land, which feature a large open barn for storage, a separate stone building to the front as well as the pool. The orchard contains a well and a feature original water pump, (water is mains), is at the front of the house. Les Amis is situated in the picturesque village of Menetou-sur-Nahon just inside the region of Indre and close to the river Cher. The village itself is quiet and friendly and at last count had 112 inhabitants. You will regularly see around the house a large range of birds and animals including owls, birds of prey, red squirrels and on the evening walk, deer.

It is an ideal place from which to explore the Loire valley, with its unique chateaux and vineyards etc. A well-equipped supermarket, several good restaurants and bakeries are within a 5km. drive from the house.

Les Amis is situated in the picturesque village of Menetou-sur-Nahon just inside the region of Indre and close to the river Cher. The village itself is quiet and friendly. You will regularly see around the house a range of birds and animals including owls, birds of prey, red squirrels and deer.

It is an ideal place from which to explore the Loire valley, with its unique chateaux and excellent vineyards. Castles, medieval towns, caves, parks and rivers ensure that this region caters for every taste. Nearby zoos and a famous motor museum at Valencay as well as the Matra museum at Romorantin (charting the history of the company’s Le Mans wins) and further away adventure parks cater for all the family. The forests and lakes of Berry is a vast area to explore and an area of particular beauty and a wildlife sanctuary.

The lovely town of Chabris is only five minutes drive away with its shops, cafes, restaurants and weekly market. There is also a useful supermarket (Super U). Valencay is 8 km away and a visit to one of the most beautiful French renaissance style chateaux is a must. The pretty town of Selles sur Cher with its large church is about 12km away.
The impressive chateaux of Chambord and Chenonceau are about 30 to 45 minutes drive away as are the medieval towns of Amboise and Blois with their chateaux and rich history. Local vineyards, restaurants, villages and festivals are well worth exploring.

Rental notes: The payment of a non returnable deposit of £150 per week secures your holiday. The balance is payable 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Following full payment information will be sent which will include route suggestions, details about the house and grounds as well as information about the area. If there is a cancellation after full payment has been made, a full refund less the deposit, will only be made if the vacancy is filled. Holiday insurance is recommended.

The Living Area is spacious, light and comfortable. This is a lovely family space combining a large American style kitchen, dining room with large table and ample seating for six. The sitting area has two large comfortable settees, TV and DVD player, and a log burner for those cooler autumn and winter evenings.
