The Blue House is a very nice and unique house, right in the middle of the city but with the feeling that you are somewhere else, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quite like an oasis in the desert. A really unique experience. Blue House is located on a one way street named after the 19th century painter. You will find information about this painter in the cosy nook on the first floor of the Blue House. The Blue House is very well located. It is close to both the Central Station and the Berchem Station. Being close to the stations means that buses and trams are easily available with the bus and tram stops a close walking distance from the Blue House. Blue House lies in a typical Jewish neighbourhood. A unique experience. Your stay is possible on the first or the second floor of the house.

The centre of Antwerp is elegantly protected by five immense historic churches, each a treasury of art and historic heritage although they are still used for worship today. All were built during Antwerp's Golden Age in the 16th or early 17th century. This beautiful quintet is mostly Gothic and Baroque and all five churches pride themselves on being associated with Antwerp's best-known and most prominent citizen: Rubens. Antwerp has a myriad of beauty spots, quiet courtyards, squares and secret gardens where you can relax. The quietest, quaintest street in the city is the Vlaeykensgang, nothing more than a cobbled alleyway at Oude Koornmarkt 16. The Beguinage, a sanctum, has an inner courtyard garden, orchard and a pond and is surrounded by narrow cobblestone streets and the tiny St Catherine's Church. The Botanical Garden on Leopoldstraat is a haven of peace and quiet, but also home to 2,000 rare and remarkable plants. Cactuses and (sub)tropical plants can be found in the greenhouse. Go and discover a new world! There are several museums in Antwerp, that are worth a visit! Antwerp is for children too, if you are looking for a fun and educational excursion for your children, grandchildren or yourself, Antwerp is a treasure trove of adventure and experiences. Admire Antwerp underground, play in a real pirate's ship, see animals in all sizes and colours, watch sharks.

At the back of the house is the living room and a pretty sitting corner. There you will find television, dvd and radio. You will also find comic books and all types of tourist information. In the living room you will also be able to read cultural magazines, brochures and guides. Please do not take these with you as there will be others who would want to read them. Blue Ciel room - this large attic room which is approximately 36 m2 can accomodate 4 adults and 2 children. The room contains a children bed, a shower and a toilet. You can make use of the tables, chairs and arm chairs to relax while watching the television or listening to the radio. The room is well equipped with proper bed linen and towels. Included in the room is radio, television, alarm clock, comic books and all types of tourist information about Antwerp and Belguim. Magritte room - the Magritte room (16m2) is inspired by the Belgian painter Magritte. This room has a double bed and a new big bed. This room can accomodate 4 people easily. A small television is also provided. The advantage of this room is that you stay at the same level as the large bathroom. The key to the room is on the door. The room is well provided with neat bed linen and towels. An extremely comfortable extra large bathroom where you have the choice of a shower or a bath. There is one bathroom on this floor. The shower booth is new. On your arrival you will be given 2 fresh towels.

Outside Area:Garden is entirely free to wander around, to smoke and enjoy the town birds. Accessible for everyone but do not disturb the sparrows, blackbirds, woodpeckers and crows. Please close the garden door as I would not like field mice in my house. In the summer you can have breakfast on the terrace.
