Loubes-Bernac holiday barn rental - French self catering Aquitaine barn

Lovely spacious restored barn. Sleeps up to 10 people. Fully equipped and furnished to a high standard. Swimming pool. Located in a sleepy, peaceful hamlet in Loubes Bernac. The house dates back some 300 years and still retains a few original features such as the chais, the VATS, the cow stalls and a hayloft ladder. The lounge is large and spacious with a dining area incorporated. Large woodburning stove, fully equipped bar with optics and a sink, CD player, games, 2 large sofas, 2 armchairs, TV with English channels, patio doors to the terrace and swimming pool. The dining room also hosts a superb fireplace with comfy seating around it. The large oak dining table extends to 7 ft long. Glasses, napkins and tableware. The kitchen is fully equipped with enough crockery and cutlery for 12 people. Electric oven with gas hob, microwave, small breakfast table with seating for 4 people, woodburner, back door to the terrace and garden. Washing machine, washing line, iron and ironing board. The house has 4 bedrooms – a twin and a double downstairs and two further doubles upstairs. None of the bedrooms have en suites but there are two spacious bathrooms – one upstairs and one downstairs. Bedrooms are comfortable and simply furnished and all the bedding is provided, as are towels. Separate toilet on the ground floor. Covered terrace area with steps leading down to the swimming pool. Table and chairs on the terrace for outside dining.

Ideally situated just 16km from the tourist towns of Duras, Eymet and Sainte Foye La Grand. Bergerac is just 40 minutes away with regular flights to Stansted. Bordeaux is 90 minutes away with regular flights to Gatwick. Bordeaux also hosts excellent shopping facilities and beaches. The medieval town of Sarlat is just under 2 hours drive away and well worth a visit. Chateaux de Vigiers with its well known golf course and spa facilities is approximately half a mile away.

Rental notes: A security deposit of £250 is required for each booking. Both security deposit and balance of rental payment must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to holiday commencement date. The security deposit will be returned to the client 2 with 2 weeks of the end of the rental period, less any cost for damages. If full payment is not received by the due date, the owners reserve the right to give notice in writing that the booking is cancelled. The client remains liable to pay the balance of the rent due unless the owners are able to re-let the barn. Rental shall commence at 4pm on the first day and finish at 10am on the last day.
