Pilrig House is under a mile from Edinburgh's famous Princes Street - and all the main attractions: Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, the National Gallery, Calton Hill, the Scottish Parliament, Holyrood Palace, the Museum of Scotland, the National Portrait Gallery. It is also only a mile from Edinburgh's beautiful Botanical Gardens and the Georgian New Town. The port of Leith is but a 10-minute stroll away - and, the Water of Leith walkways and cyclepaths can be accessed just around the corner from the house. There is an excellent local bus service just outisde the park - a few minutes' walk away. Waverley Station (just off Princes Street) is a 5-minute taxi ride. St Andrew's Bus Station (off Queen St) is also a 5-minute taxi trip away.
