Having recently undergone a very extensive refurbishment and new build, the original 'Beachcomber Suites Hotel' on Paynes Bay, St James, has been transformed into the "Number One" Luxury Apartment Hotel on Barbados, and has now been reopened and renamed 'The St James'. This is a high quality establishment, which has attracted an unprecedented volume of excellent comments from the industry, the media, the local population and our guests. Both the interiors and the exteriors of the property have been completed to the highest standards and convey a friendly atmosphere of quality, comfort, elegance and style. To complement this building, The St James is positioned on one of the finest Beaches on the Island, at the centre of the fabulous "Gold Coast" and looks out across golden sands and the renowned calm waters of the azure coloured Caribbean Sea on the West Coast. Our guests have a wide stretch of beach on which to relax on their sun loungers under sunshades. An added attraction for the St James is the intimate presence of a large family of friendly turtles who have made their home in the waters in front of the hotel. The opportunity to swim with the turtles each morning has become a unique experience for our guests.

The St.James is situated directly adjacent to the sand and Caribbean Ocean, at the centre of one of Barbados's top beaches, Paynes Bay, on the beautiful 'Gold Coast' which lies on the Island's West Coast. Holetown, one of the West Coast's main shopping, banking, dining and entertainment areas, is just 1 mile North of the property. The St.James is surrounded by many of the Island's Internationally acclaimed Restaurants and Hotels. About 6 Restaurants are within easy walking distance. We are 1 mile from Holders Hill Polo ground, 3 mile from tennis facilities. Several Luxury Spas are within a couple of miles of The St James. Our Ocean front location looks directly out to the magnificent sunsets in the West.

Rental notes: Balance of payment to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival date. Both the deposit and the balance of payment are non refundable. Therefore, all guests are very strongly advised to take out Holiday/Travel insurance, once the initial booking has been made. Our main block comprises of six two-bedroom apartments, all of which are Ocean Front, looking out towards the sunset in the West. There are two of these apartments on each floor Also in the main building, we have 2 studio apartments. They are located one on each of the 1st and 2nd floors and are virtually identical except for furniture colours. Courtyard Studio - located on the ground floor , this is our least expensive apartment and is excellent value for money. The entrance door opens out onto the courtyard/car park. The apartment does not have a view to the Ocean but is just 20 seconds from the beach. 1 bedroom apartment, located on the 1st floor, carries a generously sized lounge with comfortable furnishings and kitchen bar stools. It is very bright and airy. 1-Bedroom Penthouse Apartment - the penthouse is located on the 2nd floor and is an open plan apartment with a very ‘happy’ feel, large, airy and very bright. Each apartment has a fully equipped, Italian made open plan kitchen.
