Hillside holiday cottage has a beautiful riverside location in Brittany France 25 minutes from St Malo. Stroll into medieval Dinan with its castle, ramparts, pavement cafes and lively pleasure port. Walk to Lehon's own castle and abbey, swimming pool or tennis courts, pavement cafe and restaurant. Boulanger and a Tabac bar are close by. Dinan and local supermarkets are only a 3 minute drive. And it is only 20km to a host of beautiful beaches.

Besides Léhon's abbey, castle ruins, heated swimming pool, and beautiful river, the pleasure boat port of Dinan is within walking distance with its famous medieval walls, ramparts, narrow cobbled streets, and tree-lined squares. Walking, cycling or even boating up the Rance river between the two locales is pleasant and relaxing. Also popular is the Emerald Coast where one can hike the coastal paths or lounge on its warm, sunny beaches. The beaches below the ramparts at St. Malo and to the east are special favourites along with Le Nicet beach in Rotheneuf. Léhon has its own indoor tennis courts while Dinan boasts a new indoor sports complex. The heated swimming pool at Léhon is outdoor while there is an indoor one at Dinan. One will find golf courses at Dinard (10 miles) and Le Tronchet (5 miles). Also in the area of the Emerald coast (20km north) are sandy beaches, Mont St. Michel, castles, manoirs, aquariums, zoos and museums. Nearby is St. Malo which boasts many attractive restaurants, souvenir shops, and cafés within its walls. Its cobblestone streets and bustling courtyard create a terrific atmosphere.

Although nearly 300 years old the interior had been modernised and has electric central heating throughout, supplemented in the salon and kitchen by roaring wood burners in the colder months. The accommodation includes two second-floor bedrooms, a first-floor lounge, and a ground-floor kitchen. The 2-bedroom cottage sleeps up to 5 people. It is accompanied by a beautiful rear garden. This is a large comfortable room on the first floor with huge beams and Breton stone fireplace with a glass-fronted wood burner. Furniture includes coffee tables, chest of drawers, double sofa, two armchairs, TV (for videos and games) DVD and video player, a selection of videos and DVDs, and a music centre for radio, tapes and CDs. There are window seats with views to the river and medieval bridge - across the river to the bourg and the ancient cloisters and the abbey. The back door leads to the garden There is a bedroom with a large, comfortable Breton double bed (left) - with a new English sprung mattress - in a room facing the garden and a second bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms are on the top floor and both have a fitted carpet, chest of drawers, hanging spaces, and bedside lamps. A traditional wooden cot can be placed on the landing outside the bedrooms. There is an en suite bathroom with a modern bath, shower, wash basin and toilet. Ground floor fully fitted traditional oak kitchen and dining room, with table, futon settee and five chairs, Lots of cupboards, tiled work surfaces. The kitchen is heated with a wood burner in a massive stone fireplace and a radiator as backup. Also, attached to the property is a smaller house known as "La Petite Grange". This 1-bedroom annexe sleeps up to 4 people.

Outside Area:This peaceful, secluded garden and patio is accessible from the first-floor of the cottage as well as the from the first-floor of the Annexe. Included with the garden are chairs and tables, loungers, and barbecues in the shed. The steeply wooded hillside shelters the cottage and provides a beautiful, ever changing backdrop.
