Welcome to our historical house in the center of Wilderswil - the heart of the Jungfrau region, Swiss Alps. In 2004 we decided to renovate our 1890 bakery farmhouse, fixing up our old barn attached to the back of our house to transform it into a comfortable, modern & historic holiday accommodation. Our theme throughout the house is to integrate modern furniture, appliances & technology with simple clean architecture, using original century old support beams, large roof windows allowing lots of natural light. State of the art heating system provides clean and comfortable heated tiled floors. We designed, constructed and maintain our holiday house ourselves, partly with the help of a few good friends.

Wilderswil is located in the heart of the Jungfrau region in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Nestled at the foot of famous Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau 4158m/13,642ft., Schynige Platte-Alpengarten, Schilthorn, Jungfraujoch -Top of Europe. A popular yet peaceful holiday resort in all four seasons. Together with the neighbouring villages of Gsteigwiler & Saxeten, Wilderswil offers rural charm, unspoilt nature and an almost inexhaustible range of excursion, hiking and sporting attractions. If you choose to visit Grindelwald, Wengen, Jungfraujoch, Muerren & Schilthorn….Wilderswil is just 15 minutes away. Wilderswil population is 2500 inhabitants. We have a bakery, cheese and milk store, bank, tourist information center, ski & bike rental, drugstore, post office, gas station, train station, food market, variety of restaurants and a local mill museum. The historical 12th century Unspunnen castle ruins can be seen from your balcony and bedrooms. Over 20 natural spring water fountains with refreshing drinking water throughout the village give a peaceful background sound. Signs are posted at various points of interest detailing Wilderswils cultural history. There are 30 km of hiking paths and 120 km of mountain biking trails starting right here. Rock climbing enthusiasts have the local climbing garden, with over 30 routes at all levels of difficulty. If you are interested, take a local guided tour by foot or horse & carriage.

The three story holiday house has a total of 120 m2 living space, private entrance and two parking spaces. It offers all you need for a home abroad.... 2 master bedrooms plus loft bedroom: 2 bedrooms each with a queen size double bed: 170 x 210cm, loft with one double bed and additional single beds ideal for kids. 2 private bathrooms plus access to the wellness area. The ground floor houses the sauna, whirlpool, shower, toilet and lounging area. First floor has a toilet and sink. Master bathroom is on the second floor with a two person shower, whirlpool, toilet and double sink. Livingroom is equipped with flat screen cable TV, DVD player, music system. Highspeed internet connection throughout the apartment at no extra costs. (WLAN / Wifi). Kitchen is bright, as it has a sliding glass door towards back garden. The large dining table is perfect for entertaining. Equipped with new quality appliances. Kitchen towels and basic spices included. Plates, glasses and cutlery for 10 people. Our goal is to give you a home abroad, along with our friendly and knowledgeable hosting. We are looking forward welcoming you here in the heart of the swiss alps.

Outside Area:The balcony gives views to the mountains, at night the 12th century Unspunnen-ruin is lit. A century old cherry tree stands in the garden. Our large, lush and kids friendly garden is also yours during your stay. With tree house and swings for the kids and chairs, tables and bbq facilities (wood or gas) for the adults.
