Welcome on the Quinta das Chaves, a holiday home on historical ground. The holiday home Quinta das Chaves (Farm of the Keys) was originally an old farm. It was entirely renovated in 2006, with the perfect balance of modern comfort and centenary stones. The spacious house has been decorated for 6 persons and is safe for children. Parents can leave their children to romp around on the heart's one and a half-hectare area without having to worry about the traffic. Being the only guests you can enjoy the privacy of the house, swimming pool and the peaceful gardens. The Quinta is accessible for people in a wheelchair. Pets (limit two) are also welcome. The many terraces around the house provide both shade and sun and offer a lot of privacy. Most people know Portugal as the holiday with the white beaches of the Algarve. But Portugal is more than sun, sand and sea. An ideal country for a holiday due to the many parks and varied landscape. In this region of Portugal there are few tourists. Yet this rural and green area has a lot to offer: rugged nature, fields, forests, primitive villages with a friendly population and many historical relics. In the surrounding towns there are restaurants, cinemas and modern shopping malls. From the Quinta you can make day trips to cities with a lot of historical sights. The beach is a 1½ hour drive. The golfcourse at Monte Bello Viseu is one hour drive. The Quinta das Chaves is on a hill overlooking the valley of the village Casfreires. When you watch from the terraces of the house Portuguese working on their fields by hand it seems as if time has stood still. An ideal place to relax!

Rental notes: The price includes: Use of electricity, water, gas and open firewood Bedding, towels and kitchen Cleaning of the house at the end of the stay Fresh bedding every week Use swimmingpool and tennis court Taxes. The first payment, 50% of the total rent, we expect within two weeks after sending the bill. The remaining amount, incl. a deposit of 250 euros, at the latest 6 weeks before arrival at the Quinta das Chaves. The deposit will be returned within 2 weeks after thes stay. We do not accept cheques.

The spacious house has been decorated for 6 persons and all rooms are on one floor. The entire floor is equipped with heating and central heating. Large living room with an open kitchen, spacious seating area around the fireplace and separate dining area. Modern kitchen with a 6-burner gas stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, espresso machine etc. TV, DVD player and stereo equipment. Lots of books (also English), games and DVDs for all ages ensure entertainment indoors. 1 Bedroom with a double bed, with sliding doors to terrace. 1 Bedroom with a single bed, sliding doors to terrace. 1 room with a double bed. 1 Bedroom with a single bed and folding cot. 1 Bathroom with separate toilet, tub, shower and two wash basins. Bathroom with shower and sink.

Outside Area:Outside kitchen with a large dining table and chairs 8, barbecue, grill. Private swimming pool with jetstream, and a deep and shallow section. The shallow portion of the pool can be separated from the deep by a chain. Poolhouse with shower and toilet. The terraces are equipped with garden furniture, umbrellas and hammocks. The use of the tennis court that lies in front of the house is free.
