Algarve family self catering cottages - Silves vacation villa in Central Algarve

Annie & Barry extend a warm welcome to you at their Quinta. There are 2 Apartments in the main Quinta, and two semi-detached Cottages plus a Studio, all arranged around a central BBQ and Al Fresco dining area. Set amongst orange groves in beautiful countryside, with distant views of the hills and mountains of the Algarve. Quinta Palmeiras, or ‘House of the Palms‘ is a delightful location for your next holiday. You can all simply relax and top up your tan, with the odd trip to the bar for a cold drink, or perhaps you would prefer a day on one of the stunningly beautiful beaches in the area, ranging from miles of golden sand with full amenities, to tiny secluded coves with a bar offering delicious freshly caught fish. Nature lovers will delight in the exotic plants and wildlife that flourish in the area, whilst golfers have a choice of 23 world-class courses all within easy reach. In short the Portuguese Algarve has something for everyone.

The nearest beach at Armacao de Pera is 15 minutes drive. It is a very large beach, at one end working fishing boats are pulled up on the sand by tractor, and further along there are beach bars, restaurants, and all the facilities you would expect of a popular beach resort. Minutes either side and dotted along the coast are dozens of smaller beaches and coves with golden sand and small tavernas offering the catch of the day, washed down by a cold beer or a glass or two of Vinho Verde Faro Airport is a 40 minute drive. We have a Self Drive car hire company based at the airport who we have been dealing with for the past 7 years. They speak English, are reliable and very helpful. We can quote you for cars, estates, 7 seater people carriers, or 9 seater mini-buses. Their prices are better than those generally available on the Internet. We can book your car and have it waiting for you to pick up at the airport. No deposit is required, you just settle on arrival at Faro. Being centrally located one of the comments we hear time and again from our guests is 'you are about 10 minutes drive from nearly everywhere' ! That includes Silves Town and Castle, Algoz with its selection of retaurants, Aqualand Water Park, Zoomarine, Algarve Shopping Centre at Guia. For a great day out drive to lands end at Sagres, the most westerly point of Europe, or drive to the small town of Monchique in the mountains. You could go to Almancil for Go-Karts, or Dolphin spotting on a boat.

All the accommodation is Self-Catering & Self-Contained, each with a Private Terrace STUDIO for 2 people - double bed COTTAGE 1 for 2 people - twin beds COTTAGE 2 for 4 people - bedroom1 twin beds, bedroom 2 double bed DOWNSTAIRS APARTMENT for 4 people - bedroom 1 twin beds, bedroom 2 double bed Note: All the above can accommodate an extra small child on a camping bed/put-u-up UPSTAIRS APARTMENT for 6 people - bedroom 1 double bed, bedroom 2 twin beds, bedroom 3 twin beds. In addittion there are 2 double sofa beds for an extra 4 people - being in the Lounge privacy is limited. Towels, bedding and tea towels are provided, but we ask guests to bring their own Beach and Pool Towels. We normally change the above weekly, but if you have a special request please ask. There is an iron and board, hairdryers, and cool boxes with ice packs. SUN LOUNGE has TV, DVD, Video, sofas, free WI-FI, pool table, book library and DVD/video library. COTTAGE 1 is accessable to wheelchair users

Outside Area:The property and its lovely gardens extend to 2 acres and are securely fenced all round, entry is by electric gates. At night there is good lighting. The accommodation is situated around a central large gas BBQ and cooking area with sinks, and a outside covered group dining area. For private moments each unit has its own terrace (with table, chairs and sun umbrella) ideal if you want to read, have a snack, or just grab a quiet moment. The bar is adjacent to the Pool, with 2 fridges to keep your drinks cold, wired for sound - so bring your iPods. It is a popular area during the day where mums and dads can keep an eye on the kids in the pool, or a great place to meet up in the evening and generally "put the world to rights".
