In the largest range of forested mountains in Central Europe, on the border with the Czech Republic, half way between Munich and Prague, we offer 7 spacious, beautifully modernised 'full service' holiday apartments (plus 2 not yet fully renovated) in 3 neighbouring houses on the edge of the village of Bayerisch Eisenstein - we are not an agency, we own and manage these properties ourselves and live in Haus Sterr.

The apartments are a few metres from the Bavarian Forest National Park, shops, restaurants and the Czech border. There are peaceful walks, cycling/mountain biking, tennis, riding, skiing and snowboarding on the Arber mountain and cross country skiing everywhere. History and culture are all around. There is a wider variety of things to do and see here than almost anywhere else in Europe.
Bayerisch Eisenstein is about 10 hours driving time from Calais - the same as the South of France - and 2 hours by car, slightly longer by train, from Munich, Nuernberg, Prague or Linz airports. Or catch the train from London after an early breakfast and eat dinner in Bayerisch Eisenstein!

Outside Area:The apartments are in 3 neighbouring houses on the edge of the village yet close to all amenities. Each house has a parking area and garden. Facilities in all houses are available to all guests. In summer, there are pots of herbs on the steps up to the house for guests to use. There is a large terrace for eating out and barbecues, and an orchard for sitting out, with a small children's play area. Outdoor table tennis in summer.
