Villa Miranda is a beautiful home to rent for your idyllic holiday on the most beautiful of the Canary islands. This 200 year old former avocado plantation estate owner’s house has been restored to a high modern standard, but still retains traditional canarian features. La Palma is unspoilt, the whole island is a nature reserve. It is the greenest of the canary islands, a real walker's and nature lover's paradise. Your villa is accessed down a winding drive past pine trees. You have your own large heated swimming pool (10mx6m) which captures the sun throughout the day. The surrounding tiled terrace with its sun loungers, table, sun umbrella and chairs gives you panoramic views of Santa Cruz bay and the mountain sides. Experience the night sky of La Palma – it's brilliance the reason the island is the site of an international observatory – from any part of the grounds. Watch out for the not infrequent shooting stars!

The whole of La Palma is a nature reserve and it is untouched by mass tourism. It is a walkers and nature lovers paradise. The island offers contrasts of volcanic lunar landscapes, subtropical rain forests, large conifer woodlands, rugged coastal cliff scenery and cultivated areas with an abundance of picturesque towns and villages, many with colonial connections. Your villa is set in the valley of Las Brenas near the town of San Pedro with shops and supermarkets. It is accessed down a quiet country lane. It provides a good central location for day trips to discover all parts of the island The capital Santa Cruz and the beach resort of Los Cancajos, with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, are a short drive away. A pleasant 45 minute drive through mountain scenery and tunnels will take you to explore the other side of the island.

There is also a cot.

Double doors lead to a large enclosed balcony with cane seating to capture the sun. Extremely large, fully equipped kitchen, with electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. Dining area with traditional canarian peaked wooden roof and views of the terraces and grounds. Two ground floor bedrooms, one double, one twin /double, both with fully tiled en suite bathrooms with showers and WC and plenty of wardrobe space. Two first floor bedrooms, one double and one twin with wardrobes and drawers.

Outside Area:Large heated private pool with extensive exotic gardens and sun terraces. Private Spa treatments available at the house on request. A large terraced garden contains exotic flowers, subtropical plants shrubs and trees and offers stunning views of the surrounding area. Several purpose built outside seating and sun bathing areas give you a range of opportunities to enjoy the sun and the views. You can choose to dine outside on a large tiled and roofed terrace, near to the outside barbecue and kitchen. A separate stone built washhouse has an automatic washer, a tumble dryer and out door drying area.
