It gets its name from the abbreviation of 2 first names, Temarii and Nainoha, which have the following poetic meaning Small bird from the big ocean covered by a royal sunrise." In nature the "Noha", a white bird comes to nest in the valley to shelter it’s offspring. It is in this family environment that we decided to build "guest houses" situated around a swimming pool in a magnificent botanical garden. Our village is now into it’s seventh year with even more optimism, enjoyment and happiness to be shared with our guests. Situated in an area of lush greenery in the heart of Moorea in the valley of Pao Pao. Temanoha Village is located one kilometer from the main road, offering Polynesian style bungalows on an outstanding site. The enchanting surroundings in the middle of the most beautiful mountains of Moorea, captivating and mysterious, can be admired at all hours of the day. Around a swimming pool are six comfortable bungalows between 120 and 150 square feet. Only 15 minutes from the airport and ferry docks, Temanoha Village is situated in Cook`s Bay, one of the two magnificent bays of the island of Moorea. # In Paopao Valley behind school, # 10 km (6 miles.) from the airport, # 14 km (9 miles.) from the ferry dock # 1.200 km from the belt road # No credit cards.

Rental notes: Prices here are for the Fare Rotui bungalows (50sq.m), email us for prices of other bungalows. This holds (for 1 to 4 people max.) For 1 to 2 people it is 126 Euros per night. For extra people add 27 Euro per person. Children under 5 years of age are free if they sleep in their parent’s bed. Continental breakfasts can be served on request at the guest house for 13Euro per person.

The bungalows are built in a Polynesian style that incorporates Moorea stone and wood, making them truly authentic. Two types of bungalow are available (120sq.ft and 150sq.ft). The bedroom has a large bed and mosquito net, the living room and fully equipped kitchen look out onto a deck facing the swimming pool. Bathrooms have hot water and are made from the yellow stones of the island (linen is provided). A living room with a single bed (possibility to add a second fold-out single bed).

Outside Area:Temanoha Village is a small hotel complex or “Fare d’hôtes” made up of 6 bungalows laid out around a swimming pool in the middle of a botanical garden. The compound is spread out over 2 hectares with many fruit trees, including: grapefruit, banana, papaya, and guava, avocado, orange, as well as giant bamboo and other forest trees. Starting from the main road you then follow a winding dirt road marked out with small yellow lizards.
