Bed by the Stream is a cozy ranch house with a beautiful historic barn situated on 5 acres of streamside property in the Hudson Valley. We are conveniantly located in Ulster County on the border of Woodstock and Saugerties in upstate New York. Our stunning, wooded property is surrounded on three side by the Plattekill Stream. Stop by anytime to walk in beautiful gardens and breathe the fresh air of the country. Enjoy an unforgetable hot, country breakfast on our sun porch overlooking the stream. Ulster County and the Hudson Valley are rich with things to do in every season, and there's no place that's more true than in and around Saugerties and Woodstock. Antique buffs are busy year round. Outdoor enthusiasts will love canoeing, tubing, tennis, golf, cycling, and horseback riding in the warmer months, skiing and snow tubing in the winter, and the most scenic hikes in the Northeast every season, with special vistas during autumn. Visit Woodstock to shop or have a fireside dinner. This legendary artist colony offers unique stores featuring crafts of local origin. The entire area is known for its fine dining, owing to our proximity to the Cullinary Institute, and Saugerties and Woodstock each feature a quaint, small town movie theater.

Bed by the Stream has two guest rooms, 3 efficiency apartments, and an 800 square foot luxury apartment with private deck and hot tub. Bed by the Stream sleeps up to 18 people, and all 6 rooms may be booked. Tulip Room: enjoy a panoramic view of the apple orchard from our spacious and romantic Tulip Room. This room features a queen sized canopy bed, couch, and private bath. All guest rooms have cable television and air conditioning. Stream room: let the sound of the Plattekill Creek's crystal clear waters lull you to sleep. Ideally suited for both romantic getaways and family stays, our Stream Room features a queen bed and trundle bed to sleep up to four people. Peacock room: fall asleep to the sound of crickets in this tranquil efficiency apartment. Features include a queen sized antique pine bed, kitchenette, and private bath with oversized heart-shaped whirlpool tub. As with all of our guest rooms you'll enjoy cable television and air conditioning. Garden room: this cozy efficiency apartment looks out over the front lawn, mature trees, and perennial gardens. Features include a queen sized brass bed, mini kitchen, and private bath. Air conditioning and cable television are featured in all guest rooms.. Poolside Suite: is a bedroom/livingroom combo boasting a screened-in porch that overlooks our pool. Other amenties include a deluxe private bath withwhirlpool tub and steam shower, kitchenette, king sized air adjustable bed, futon, game table, pellet stove, and a deck with fire pit and BBQ. Bed of Dreams is our one bedroom luxury apartment, with stream views from every room. The living room has hardwood floors and a gas fireplace, and the galley kitchen boasts brand new appliances.
