A large salon/dining area with granite fireplace and traditional Breton furnishings. Watch British satellite TV, complete with movies and DVD player. Furnished with a comfy couch and matching ottoman, and two club chairs for reading. The dining area has a Breton carved wood table with matching 6 chairs, and buffet that holds all table ware, linens, wine/cognac glasses, stainless flateware and dishes. Step under the stone lintel into a country kitchen that has all modern appliances. There is a large work table with bench for easy visiting with the cook while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a Bosch dishwasher and frig/freezer, glass topped oven and range with stainless extractor hood. Double sink. A buffet holds the wide assortment of stainless pots and pans, Emile Henry bake ware, also available are a wide variety of spices, etc. Off of the attached garage is a decked terrace with table, chairs, BBQ and view of church clock tower. The stone wall, willow fence, and flowering vine over the kitchen window make a cozy spot on a summers day. Upstairs are two full bathrooms, one with sunken tub and washer and tumble dryer. Three double bedrooms have armoirs, comfortable beds and duvets, hanging tapestries and paintings that give this home an oh, so French charm.

Langoat is within easy reach of several coves and sandy beaches, and children and teenagers will enjoy the nearby Armoripark with its swimming pool, boating lake and other amusements. If you are staying at our holiday gite in Brittany, France then the closest beach is in Penvenan, just 10 min. away, with views of rocky islands, restaurants, creperies and boats to rent. Sandy beaches are Les Dunes, Roc’h Annick, Le Rocher du Voleur at Port Blanc, and le Bilo in Bugueles. Shingle beaches are close by in Plougrescant and Gouermel (with a darling Creperie across the road) Pors Scaff and Pors Hir. The resort beaches of Perros-Guirec (Trestrignel and Trestraou.) are just 15 min. away. The nearby town of Lannion has attractive old timbered buildings with cobbled streets and there are several market towns in the vicinity for daily shopping excursions.

Rental notes: Upon acceptance of your request, we will mark the dates as reserved. A deposit of 20% should then be made within 10 days to secure the booking. The remainder of the payment must be made no later than 8 weeks before the starting date of your holiday. A security (breakage) deposit of €100 will be required to be paid with the final payment. This sum will be reimbursed within 2 weeks of your departure and after a satisfactory final inspection of the property. The prices listed include bed linen, electricity, water, reasonable cleaning and wood for the fireplace. There are no hidden extras.

The downstairs is tiled throughout with an area rug in the salon and is tastefully furnished in old world charm. There is a huge wood beam mantle over the fireplace, candles galore. The TV/DVD are stored in their own armoir, complete with board games and movies for evenings at home. Guide books and reading material are on the shelves of the bookcase made from the front piece of an ancient Breton bed. A bellows from a local forge adds character to the room. The dining area seats 6 with a buffet holding all the linens and table ware. Next is the kitchen with an exposed stone wall, and modern frig/freezer, dishwasher, range and hood extractor. Upstairs are two tiled baths, one with shower and one with sunken tub, washer/dryer. The rose bedroom has a double bed, the green room has two singles, the blue room has a queen double, and all have duvets, wall hangings, curtains and armoirs or built in closets.

Outside Area:Le Coq Noir is a stone and slate roofed home in a typical French village. We have a fabulous bakery/patisserie down the street, just past the market and hair salon. The church is the focal point and is lovely with its three storied bell tower. Behind the church are the tennis courts. Past the church is the huge, grassy football pitch. If you walk past the bakery, you are on your way to the village ponds, separated by a perfect picnic meadow where you can throw a frisbee or read all afternoon on a blanket under the trees. Keep walking and you are at the tidal river, Jaudy.
